Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 33 is the thirty-third episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and SHYATAN and with art by Tabii, was released on 05 December 2023.
Plot synopsis
Sun's guests arrive on his floating gambling hall and are led to Sun by one of Shimazu Saito's ninja. One of them comments that it will be difficult to escape if they are ambushed, prompting another to jokingly tell him he was never much of a swimmer. Their leader tells them they are not there to amuse themselves and reminds them of their mission: to liberate themselves from the oppression of foreign forces and bring order to the world under divine providence.
Meanwhile, Edward Kenway is dueling Saito and her ninja atop the mast of a ship, managing to throw the ninja to their deaths. Left alone with Saito, Edward is cornered by the Templar, who offers to spare him if he hands over the cipher to Hendrik's sea log. Knowing this to be a lie, Edward jumps from the mast, but grabs a rope which he uses to launch himself back on it and tackle Saito from behind. They both fall into the water below, where Saito's mask falls off and she struggles to stay afloat.
As Edward attempts to drown Saito, her ninja spot their master but are unable to get a clear shot to save her. Just then, they are slain from behind by Fuma Sukuna and his Japanese ninja. With their enemies scattered and in disarray, one of the ninja suggests that they eliminate Saito, but Sukuna reminds him of their orders from Lee to focus on killing Sun and securing the sea log. He then orders his men to proceed to Sun's ship, claiming that they will be able to deal with the traitors whenever they wish.
Elsewhere, Sun greets his guests and tells them that he invited them over because he requires their assistance with a delicate matter. As Sun promises that they will all be generously rewarded, he addresses the leader of the group: his nephew, Xiao Han.
