Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 1 is the first episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and SHYATAN and with art by Tabii, was released on 25 April 2023.
Plot summary
In February 1725, Edward Kenway is at Macau's harbor, being chased by ninja. Running past the stalls of merchants trying to sell thier produce, Edward boards a docked ship in an attempt to lose his pursuers, but the ninja use grappling hooks to scale the ship and catch up with him. The Assassin decides to face his assailants and manages to stab one of them with his Hidden Blade.
An Animus interface then appears, revealing that Edward's genetic memories are being relived in 2023 by his descendant, Noa Kim. Confused as to what he is experiencing, Noa struggles to remain synchronized with the memory and watches as Edward climbs the ship's mast, before taking a Leap of Faith in an attempt to lose his pursuers.
