Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 62 is the sixty-second episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and NOHT and with art by Tabii, was released on 25 June 2024.
Plot synopsis[edit | edit source]
Edward Kenway leads the expedition on Monkey Island in search of Xialun Qing, though as he tries using his Eagle Vision to track footmarks on the ground, he notices that he can no longer maintain it for long periods of time, likely due to the crescent amulet's lingering effects. John Young becomes concerned that they have lost Qing's trail, but fortunately his pet monkey remembers Qing's scent and is able to lead Edward, John, and the others in her direction. Following the monkey, the group arrive at a village and, suspecting its inhabitants to be hostile, prepare to attack it and rescue Qing.
Meanwhile, aboard the Fenghuang, Shimazu Saito and Yun Pyeong-Gyu discuss a sudden downpour that has started, which Saito suspects will be used by their enemies as cover to launch their attack on the ship. Sure enough, Rajah's warriors, some of whom are disguised as monsters, emerge from the woods and begin boarding the Fenghuang. The crew members try shooting them but are unable to due to their gunpowder having gotten wet from the rain, forcing them to fight the native warriors head-on.
Upon spotting one of the "monsters" that boarded the Fenghuang, Saito slices it in half, but becomes surprised when the creature continues to fight her. As more "monsters" board the ship, one of the crew members believes they are being attacked by manananggals, while Saito remarks that the creatures' powers are similar to those of the monk from Manila. She then orders the crew to ready the multi-barreled muskets built by Yun and prepare to fire on their assailants.
Back on Monkey Island, Edward and the others commence their attack on the village, and the Assassin punches one of the natives, only to be surprised when he sees Qing holding a box of medicine and tending to the villagers. Realizing there has been a misunderstanding, Edward tells Qing that she has some explaining to do.
