Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 114

Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 114 is the one hundred and fourteenth episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and YEON and with art by Tabii, was released on 1 July 2025.

Plot synopsis

As Shimazu Sei awakens from the Animus, she begins to succumb to the Bleeding Effect and, believing herself to be Shimazu Saito, addresses Noa Kim, whom she mistakes for Edward Kenway. Lying on her deathbed, an elderly Saito envisions Edward sitting next to her and expresses the admiration she feels for her old friend, which has only grown with each passing year. Sensing that her end is near, Saito asks a question that has been troubling her for some time, requesting to know if she has lived a life that Edward would be proud of.

Noa, pretending to be Edward, answers "Saito", telling her that she has nothing to regret and that she should be proud of the path she had chosen, as her sacrifice was what ultimately saved the world. After Noa claims that Saito stayed true to her convictions and remained an honorable samurai until the very end, Sei smiles and lets out a few tears of happiness before passing out.

Noa, concerned for Sei's safety, is told by an Abstergo scientist that Sei is in the final stage of the Bleeding Effect due to her overexposure to the Animus and that she is essentially brain-dead. However, Noa refuses to lose hope and uses his newly-acquired Pivot Blade to remove Sei's restraints. He then carries the unconscious doctor outside the laboratory, where his three Assassin allies wait for him. When one of the Assassins asks if Noa is sure about his choice, he responds that he made up his mind and that, if the Assassins disagree with his decision, he will happily fight through all of them.

After the Assassin points out that escaping the Research Lab was already difficult enough without Sei slowing them down, Noa claims that he has thought of everything. As Abstergo security guards arrive, the Assassins engage them while Noa runs with Sei towards a window, below which Nathan Zhang and his men have deployed an air cushion. One of the Assassins throws his staff at the window, shattering it and allowing Noa, Sei, and the Assassins to perform a getaway Leap of Faith.

Landing safely on the air cushion, Noa is greeted by Nathan, who has disguised himself and his men as firefighters. After Nathan makes a joke about Noa rescuing his "damsel in distress", Sei is placed on a stretcher and taken into an ambulance while the Assassins enter a separate vehicle. Inside the ambulance, Nathan orders the driver to start the engine while Noa uses the Piece of Eden in his possession to cure Sei's Bleeding Effect. However, due to Sei having spent much more time in the Animus than him, Noa is unsure how long it will take her to awaken, claiming that it's now entirely up to Sei to fight for her own life.

After returning to the Zhawang Corporation's headquarters in Jakarta, Noa, Nathan, and the Assassins meet with Claire Zhang to discuss their next course of action. Aware that Abstergo is in possession of two Pieces of Eden and is looking for the Forgotten Temple so they can unlock the artifacts' full power, the group resolves to find the temple first. When Nathan mentions that they'll have to use the Animus to look for additional clues, Claire decides to introduce Noa to something the Corporation has been working on. By reverse engineering Abstergo's Animus technology, they have been able to build a prototype of their own: the Brahman 3.0.
