Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 117 is the one hundred and seventeenth episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and YEON and with art by Tabii, was released on 22 July 2025.
Plot synopsis
Admiral Jeong is informed by her lieutenant that the Zhang Wei Union's fleet has broken through the East India Company's blockade. After expressing her annoyance at the British's incompetence, Jeong orders the deployment of their armored ships, intending to surround and trap the enemy. Yun Pyeong-Gyu observes the approaching ships with his spyglass and informs Edward Kenway, who suggests that they deploy their own armored vessels.
Immediately, two turtle ships are sent to engage the approaching enemy fleet. Jeong's crew opens fire on them, but the cannonballs bounce off the ships' armor plating, leaving them completely undamaged. Edward is impressed by the armor's efficiency while Yun proudly states that armored vessels are the future of naval warfare.
Once the turtle ships close the distance, their mounted Greek fire flamethrowers are used to set the enemy fleet alight, much to Jeong's horror. Furious, the admiral decides to take matters into her own hands and sails her flagship to engage the Fenghuang, with two armored vessels acting as escorts. Edward and Shimazu Saito decide to deal with them and, once Rupiya sails them close enough, they board the first ship. After swiftly killing its crew, they proceed onto the second ship and signal the Fenghuang to open fire on it.
With Jeong's flagship rapidly approaching, Edward commandeers the vessel and rams into the flagship before it can ram the Fenghuang. Edward and Saito then board the flagship and confront Jeong, who is furious that the two have dared to set foot on her deck. Ignoring her lieutenant's pleas to flee to safety, the admiral summons the Rattan Shield Company and orders them to kill Edward and Saito for their impudence.
