Cedric:If you don't give me Aelfred's jewel, I'll... I'll... widdle in your duck pond! This is your last warning! Give me Aelfred's trinket, or I'll piddle in your pond! Is this what you want, you filthy swindler? A pond full of piss? I'm happy to oblige. By God's hairy balls, you are a thief and a swindler! Give me the jewel Aelfred commissioned. I'll wear your guts as a hat. Give me Aelfred's jewel, you damn scoundrel. We have already paid for it.
Eivor approached him.
Eivor:You seem agitated.
Cedric:What gave it away? The fact that I had to debase myself pissing in this swindler's pond? Or the angry shouting?
Eivor:This man has something of yours?
Cedric:And here's another God sent to shit in my stewpot. Sod off unless you are going to magic Aelfred's jewel out your arse.
Eivor went around the house.
Eivor:If the jewel belongs to Aelfred, it might be worth a pretty penny.
Eivor finding her way into the jeweler's home
She broke in through a blocked window, finding the jeweler inside.
Jeweller:Oi, get out of it, you!
She approached him.
Jeweller:You! What are you doing here?
Eivor:I am not your enemy... yet. But that man outside certainly wants Aelfred's jewel.
Jeweller:Jesus wept upon the Holy Cross. Fuck off the both of you. Aelfred will get the jewel when I get what I'm owed.
Eivor:Peace, or you'll feel my blade in your guts.
Jeweller:Sorry, my beef is not with you. I only ask for what coin is fair. It cost me double to make over what was agreed. I have a wife to feed.
Eivor:The jewel is for the king? Here's your money. Now, give me the trinket.
Jeweller:Gladly. And I don't care whether you give it to Cedric or not. He has all the finesse of a mad cow in bloomers.
Eivor:If the jewel belongs to Aelfred, then on your life, you'd be wise to deliver it for the agreed price.
Jeweller:Mary on a donkey! You deserve the bloody thing. It's not worth my hide. Much as my wife would love to be a widow.
Eivor:If the trinket is for Aelfred, I think I'll just take it.
Jeweller:Lord have mercy on me.
The jeweller handed over the jewel and stormed out of his house past Cedric.
Jeweller:Enough of this, the guards will deal with you!
Cedric:You should have given me the jewel as agreed!
Jeweller:I'll break into your house and piss on your wife! I'm not taking this lying down. I can tell you that for the price of a warm beer.
Eivor approached Cedric with the jewel in hand.
Eivor:I have your jewel.
Cedric:Well, I didn't ask for your help, but I am glad of it. Aelfred commissioned this rare thing.
Eivor:How rare?
Cedric:Filigreed gold, centered with a rock crystal and enamel plaque. A miniature of our most beatific Lord, Jesus Christ... and... And you're going to just keep it, aren't you?
Cedric:And I have to tell the king I let a Dane steal his gift to his wife?
Eivor:You do. And also this. Every treasure he has, I'll take. Every poet who writes him into song will sing threefold of me. Because we are Vikingr, and this green and pleasant land will be ours.
Cedric:Bollocks.
However, Cedric was not finished with Eivor and began harassing after her.
Cedric:Return the treasure and we will forget we met.
Eivor:Stop following me, or the jewel will not be the only thing you will lose today.
Cedric:Holy splinters from the cross. Alright, take it.
Eivor:You may have it. But tell your king it will all be mine soon enough. His jewels. His treasures. His city. His throne.
Cedric:What? No, I... God's pearly tooth! Here's payment for you and we will both forget this meeting.
If players fast travel into Wincestre from elsewhere using the viewpoint atop Saint Peter's Church, Cedric may spawn on the grounds of the church and begin spouting his dialogue from there, several dozen meters off from the jeweler's house.
Taking the jewel by force from the jeweler will spawn two guards outside for the sole purpose of "dealing with" Eivor as the jeweller indicated. Additionally, he will bark at Cedric on his way out, but his dialogue suddenly stops at the border of his front yard. His walking speed will naturally take him past this point before the dialogue completes, so the only way to hear the whole voice line is with an ability that slows time, such as 'Blinding Rush'.
