The Demon Odor at the Tithe
The Demon Odor at the Tithe was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir 's genetic memories , relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5 .
Eivor heard a man screaming for help from a warehouse.
Eivor heard a cry for help coming from a warehouse at the Lunden docks.
Norse Man: Anyone? I'm stuck!
Eivor entered the warehouse and climbed over the walls, entering the room containing the man from above.
Eivor: I hear you. What is wrong?
Norse Man: Thank the gods! I wanted to get the new shipment done early and accidently boxed myself in.
Eivor: If that is all, I can get you out.
Norse Man: Not so fast! Avoid breaking the jars. The sauce is delicious, but smells like a sun-soaked fish barge.
Eivor climbed back up.
Norse Man: Please! Make a path through the jars so I can get out. And-and, don't break any. The smell is awful!
Eivor slowly but surely moved each jar and shifted the shelves to make a narrow path for the man to escape the warehouse.
(If Eivor broke any jars)
As careful as she was, Eivor ended up breaking at least one jar. The smell was enough to make her retch.
Eivor: Burri's balls... that's foul.
Norse Man: (puking)
In time, Eivor completely unblocked the path.
Norse Man: O, thank the gods, you've unblocked me.
She spoke to the liberated man once more.
Norse Man: You must have the grace of a cat! Not a drop spilled, thank the gods. I owe you my freedom.
Norse Man: O... Just a few broken... but the smell will be here for weeks. Huh... Still, you have my thanks.
They left the storehouse together and parted ways after.
Eivor rescued the man by creating a traversable path.
