The Ignominious Bandit
The Ignominious Bandit was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description[edit | edit source]
Eivor heard a man screaming for help and investigated.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Eivor traveled the road between Lincoln and Bolingbroc Castle and encountered a man in need, crouching on the side of the road.
- Anglo-Saxon Man: It's searing my flesh! O God!
The pain is unbearable! I cannot move!
Help me! Help! Please!
Hidden in the trees nearby, Eivor found a small camp and a suspect note. The first was pinned to a tree.

Anonymous Letter
- You have done well in this mission, Linstan, but there is more work to be done if Lincolnscire is to be free of heathen scum. As agreed, you can strip the Danes of whatever you find but try not to kill them. The live ones pay more than the dead.
Eivor approached the man.
- Eivor: What happened? Were you bit?
- Anglo-Saxon Man: O, yes. Snakebit. Just like you!
He stood up and yelled out.
- Anglo-Saxon Man: Attack!
Several bandits leapt out to ambush Eivor.
- Anglo-Saxon Man: You and your foul brothers and sisters have churned the very soil of this sacred land. No more! You're going back north where you belong! We will rid England of your kind for good!
Eivor slew the man who concocted the ruse and laid waste to the whole group of bandits.
- Eivor: Feeble.
She looted his remains for a small amount of silver.
- Eivor: My thanks, for your contribution.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
All ambushers were defeated by Eivor.
