Reap What Was Sown was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Ubba Ragnarsson waited for Eivor at Ravensthorpe to discuss urgent matters.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Having completed her second pledge since rescuing Sigurd from Suthsexe, Eivor turned to leave the war room and found him waiting for her with his arm behind his back.
- Sigurd: Ubba Ragnarsson has come. He claims to have some business with you.
Sigurd walked over to speak with Ubba briefly before Eivor joined them.
- Eivor: Ubba Ragnarsson. You are a long way from your king's side.
Sigurd left them to speak.
- Ubba: Eivor, yes. A long stroll through the hils and fields of Mercia. All so I could thank you.
- Eivor: Thank me?
- Ubba: For sending my brother to his just rewards, in spite of the harm he caused you and everyone around you. I could not keep him in line in this life. But I have no doubt the All-Father will put him to good use in the next.
- Eivor: A darkness followed your brother, one I am not sure he understood. But as you say, he is now where he belongs.
- Ubba: He is. And as a show of thanks, I came to offer you a gift. A token of my respect.
He handed Eivor a silver ring.
- Eivor: Thank you.
- Ubba: Put it to good use Wolf-Kissed. And may we meet again soon. On a battlefield, if the fates are kind.
Eivor nodded, and Ubba took his leave.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
Some time after the battle in Suthsexe, Eivor and Ubba met in Ravensthorpe and spoke about the aftermath of Ivarr's vendetta in Sciropescire, then parted ways.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
This memory triggers exactly two pledges after reporting on Suthsexe, with Blame and Sail technically preceding it by taking place after exactly one pledge. Reporting on Vinland increments this counter as well as any other region, though it is not required for main story completion. As the regions of Glowecestrescire and Eurvicscire are only unlocked after Suthsexe, this ensures there will always be at least two shires to trigger these two events. Furthermore, Ubba will occupy Sigurd's attention until this memory is completed, thus technically making it a requirement to begin the pledge to Hordafylke, if players attempt to avoid this conversation and just complete all the pledges.
If players follow Ubba's actor out of Ravensthorpe, he stops at a pair of horses near the fork in the road northwest of the settlement and paces back and forth until the player gets far enough away (roughly 100 in-game meters), at which point he simply unloads and vanishes from the game. Unlike most other named NPC actors that have a "home" or main location to return to when they're not moved for a memory, Ubba has no such location even in Ledecestrescire.
