Brewing Rebellion was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description
Eivor travelled to Buckingham in Oxenefordscire to meet her brother Sigurd and Basim.
Dialogue
Eivor went to speak to Randvi at the alliance map about her next pledge.
- Eivor: What of Oxenefordscire? Sigurd told me he had business there.
- Randvi: Ah, yes... Sigurd is there now, in fact. He bids you go meet him as soon as you can. He has partnered with a rebellious thegn called Geadric, and hopes to install Geadric as ealdorman in exchange for an oath. There's an alehouse in the center of Buckingham. Sigurd will meet you there.
Eivor pledged to Oxenefordscire with amusement over the meeting place.
- Eivor: I should join my brother, then. Where is Buckingham?
Randvi laughed.
- Randvi: Along the Great Ouse river that divides Oxenefordscire. Sigurd will be pleased to see you.
Eivor traveled to Buckingham and found it crawling with soldiers.
- Eivor: Soldiers on alert. What's happened here?
Doing her best to avoid detection, Eivor made her way through the town. Eventually she found a larger building toward the center of town. A small group of soldiers were drinking at a table outside.
- Eivor: An alehouse. This must be it.
Avoiding the soldiers, Eivor used a side entrance to enter the alehouse.
- Eivor: Sigurd's not here. I'll ask around.
Eivor spoke to an Anglo-Saxon man sitting at a crowded table.
- Eivor: I'm looking for two men. Not locals, a Norse and an Arab.
- Anglo-Saxon Man 1: The fellas the soldiers came after? If I were you, friend, I'd keep mum about them.
In the middle of the building, pinned to the wall with a knife, she found a notice.

People of Buckingham
It is so proclaimed that:
Following the death of Ealdorman Theodric, his widow Lady Eadwyn will assume all powers, responsibilities, and prerogatives of his title.
All oaths and obligations made to Oxenefordscire are heretofore to be sworn to her person by all shire members.
On the other side of the building, Eivor spoke to another man.
- Eivor: I'm looking for my brother, a large outspoken Norseman.
- Anglo-Saxon Man 2: Norse? Ha! Was he part of the fight here? Prob'ly killed by Eadwyn's soldiers. Get gone while you can!
Eivor spoke to a woman cleaning one of the tables.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: These soldiers, always leave a bleedin' mess.
- Eivor: Are you the alewife here?
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: You are not welcome here. I've had enough trouble with Danes today.
- Eivor: I'm not here to cause trouble. I'm looking for my brother, a large Norseman.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: It was him what caused the ruckus! Him and that other one were here, talking to Thegn Geadric. Then Lady Eadwyn's soldiers swept in. A fight broke out. Your brother and the tanned fella got away. The soldiers nabbed Geadric, though. I was sorry to see that. He's well-liked in these parts.
- Eivor: Which way did my brother go?
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: Hm. What's it worth to ye to find out?
- Eivor: I'm asking a simple question.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: Look, Dane, you start a scene or a scuffle and I'll scream for soldiers.
- Eivor: You are risking your life, and I'm the one who'll take it.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: O, my. All I know's they jumped through the window!
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: Guards! Help! Help!
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: Help!
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 1: It's you! You threatened our Mae!
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 2: Come on lads, it's a fight!
- Eivor: These soldiers are tightly wound.
- Eivor: You seem to respect this man Geadric. If he was talking to my brother, it's because he wants what's best for this shire. Maybe you're a woman who also wants Oxenefordscire to be free and to decide its own fate. A woman who'll stand up for her village, who won't be crushed under the boot of oppression.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: I hope I am.
- Eivor: Such a woman would help me find Geadric's friends.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: You're right, you are. Your brother and his friend jumped through that window there, and scampered off towards the river. It's a good bed they hid in one of them fish houses.
- Eivor: Sigurd and Basim headed south. They wouldn't go far. I'll check along the river.
Eivor moved southwest along the shore and came across a stone hut.
- Eivor: Smells like a fish-house. Good spot to hide.
Eivor entered the fish hut, looking around, and gasped as someone grabbed her from behind and held a knife to her throat. Sigurd rushed from where he was crouched beside a table covered with bread and cheese.
- Sigurd: Wait! Stop!
- Basim: Ahlan wa sahlan, (Hello) Eivor.
Eivor glowered at Basim and he released her.
- Sigurd: We could have cut you to bloody giblets, Wolf-Kissed!
Eivor rubbed her neck.
- Eivor: Why so unnerved, brother? It's not like you.
- Sigurd: Half the soldiers in the shire are hunting us. You must have noticed.
Sigurd turned and went to lean over another table against the far wall, this one covered in papers.
- Eivor: Is that why you haven't come home? You're playing hide-and-fetch with Mercian soldiers?
- Basim: Your brother is a busy man, Eivor. Weighed down by pressing duties.
- Eivor: It's good to see you again, Basim. Even if you haven't kept my brother trained on the task at hand.
- Basim: It's not my place to lead your brother about like a bridled mare.
- Eivor: Now there's an idea...
- Eivor: I wasn't speaking to you, Basim. I'll hear Sigurd's answers from Sigurd.
- Eivor: Haven't you some murderous errands of your own, Basim? Why are you here at all?
- Basim: My path crossed with Sigurd's long ago. We work together now, toward a single purpose.
- Eivor: Brother... we should be forging alliances. Send this man back to his warren before he leads you astray.
Unseen to Eivor, Sigurd rolled his eyes. When he turned and approached her again, it was with open arms and no acknowledgement of her comments regarding Basim.
- Sigurd: Eivor, gods above! I'm grateful you've joined us. We have made strides towards an alliance, in fact. A local thegn called Geadric has pledged an oath to me.
- Eivor: I've heard of him. The alewife also mentioned a Lady Eadwyn who commands the soldiers. Why not ally with her?
- Sigurd: Lady Eadwyn's husband was the shire ealdorman, until Guthrum's army ended his life. Now she's taken up her husband's fight, with the promise of aid from King Aelfred of Wessex.
- Basim: Eadwyn vows revenge on the Danes who stole her husband and her livelihood.
- Sigurd: From what we know, Aelfred is a fearsome king. If Eadwyn can win his full support, this shire is lost to Wessex.
- Eivor: So to fight her, you've pledged your sword to a minor thegn who likely commands a gang of farmers and fisherman.
- Sigurd: Have faith, Eivor. A few hundred Saxons armed with hayforks and billhooks can be terrifying.
Eivor shook her head in disapproval.
- Eivor: Gods.
- Basim: All men and women, noble or peasant, have within them the seeds of something greater.
- Sigurd: This is true. Sometimes greater than the average mind can fathom.
- Eivor: Well, Eadwyn has Geadric in shackles now. All your plotting has turned to ash.
Eivor stepped toward Sigurd challengingly and he met her stare.
- Sigurd: Not if we act soon. She dragged her prisoners to the longhouse. With you here, we can mount a surprise attack.
- Eivor: If Geadric is our best chance for an alliance, let's see it done.
Eivor made for the door. Behind her, Sigurd and Basim shared a look before following. Outside, Eivor led the way toward the longhouse.
- Eivor: Sigurd. Has Basim talked you into something of little reward?
- Sigurd: Eivor, have you lost hope in my warcraft? I heed Basim's wisdom, but he follows my lead. Always.
- Eivor: He has the look of one who trusts none but himself.
- Sigurd: Basim is secretive by nature. But he is wise and forthright. And he has opened my eyes to a magnificent truth. He has promised me a reward so unusual, so incredible, it will shatter your mind to shards.
- Eivor: Brother, our bond has the iron heft of a war axe. Do not let Basim and his prophecies of good fortune sway you from our simple goal.
- Sigurd: Never. Our goal is fixed. We shall soon be the lords of Mercia, then all of England. But Basim has a deep insight. He's read wisdom in the lines of my face and heard the litany of my forefathers, and... Well, there will be time enough for my saga later.
As they neared the longhouse, they heard a man shouting inside.
- Geadric: Untie me, cowards!
They came to the longhouse door.
- Sigurd: Eadwyn. She's in there.
- Eivor: Come. We'll batter the door.
Together, Eivor and one of her companions forced the door open. Inside, they found Geadric kneeling and bound, surrounded by Eadwyn and her soldiers.
- Geadric: Sigurd! Kill this sweaty fishwife!
One of the soldiers drew his sword, and Eadwyn held out a hand to stop him.
- Eadwyn: Stay your blades! This traitor, Geadric, will face trial. As will all the treasonous thegns of this shire.
The soldiers sheathed their blades.
- Geadric: You're the traitor, Eadwyn! Calling on Aelfred of Wessex, begging for his army!
- Eadwyn: Clap your meadhole, Geadric. Lapdog of the Danes.
- Geadric: You'll sell us out to Wessex! And that poxy-assed bastard Aelfred! We won't 'ave it!
- Eivor: Lady, there is no need for slaughter. We all want peace for Oxenefordscire. Can we find some agreement?
- Eivor: You're not the ealdorman here, Lady Eadwyn. Turn around and walk away, and we'll leave you be.
- Eivor: Eadwyn. You're nothing now but a churlish widow. What power you had lies rotting in your husband's grave.
- Eadwyn: You heathenish, fork-tongued Dane. Foul-smelling heap, I shit on you all!
Sigurd stepped forward.
- Sigurd: Lady, choose your next words with care. For you see before you the future master of all England. Sigurd of the hungry Raven Clan. Lay down your arms, free my friend here, and kiss my lordly feet. You will not get a second chance.
- Eivor: Sigurd, are you cracked?
- Eadwyn: And you can kiss my rosy red arse, whey-face!
Eadwyn turned and walked through her soldiers toward another exit.
- Eadwyn: I've done with this offal. I leave them to you! Flay them alive and tan their flesh for saddles.
As she left, her men attacked.
- Sigurd: Geadric, what have they done to you?
- Basim: What kind of mess did you get yourself into?
- Geadric: Untie me! I can still fight these bastards!
Eivor released Geadric and he helped fight the soldiers unarmed.
- Geadric: Damn Eadwyn. Blood for Oxenefordscire!
The last of the soldiers was defeated.
- Geadric: Damn her to Hell, the harpy escaped!
Eivor regrouped with Sigurd and Geadric.
- Geadric: Good Lord, you fight well. Thank you for that.
The last of the soldiers was defeated.
- Geadric: Damn her to Hell, the harpy escaped!
- Geadric: I was desperate to fight. You should have freed me!
- Sigurd: Geadric, this is Eivor. My stone-armed sibling.
- Geadric: Well met.
- Eivor: That was your plan, Sigurd? To charm the lady with your vague hope of kingship?
- Sigurd: Prophecy, Eivor. Not hope.
- Geadric: No time to squabble. Eadwyn's taken most of the shire's thegns. She has her way, they'll be dead by supper!
Basim came to join them.
- Sigurd: Tend your wounds, Geadric. We'll free your friends.
- Basim: And what of the holy woman, Fulke? You promised us a meeting with her.
- Geadric: I did, aye. But it's a fair mystery why you'd want to talk with--
- Basim: Where is she?
- Geadric: Thegn Holt will know. Fulke lives on his lands. But he'll be dead with the rest, if you don't stop the trial.
- Sigurd: Tell us where and we'll go now. Their lives depend on the speed of your tongue.
- Geadric: Southwest of here, halfway to Oxeneforda, at the Leah Villa Garrison.
- Sigurd: Basim, Eivor. To horse!
Before leaving the longhouse, Eivor looked around. On a barrel, she found a note.
- Letter from a Captain
Lady Eadwyn,
We have successfully captured the rebel thegns. We caught them as they were fleeing to Oxeneforda.
We will proceed with their trial and execution as you ordered.
For Oxenefordscire!
On a bench, she found another.
- Letter from Aelfred of Wessex
Lady Eadwyn,
You have my blessing in your efforts to secure control of Oxenefordscire.
Should you need men at arms, do not hesitate to call on Wessex.

Outside, Eivor, Sigurd and Basim mounted their horses and rode toward the garrison.
- Sigurd: Off again, Eivor. You and I, with blades drawn and hearts ablaze!
- Eivor: Who is this Fulke that Basim spoke of?
- Sigurd: An ally, Eivor. A most important ally. A holy woman who trades in prophecies and secret knowledge.
- Eivor: That is not the sort of alliance we're looking for, Sigurd.
- Sigurd: No, it's even better! You cannot imagine what discoveries await.
- Eivor: You are speaking strangely, Brother.
- Sigurd: Because I am alive, Eivor. My heart's alight with the fuel of battle-fire. Like old time, hey?
- Eivor: Yes, Sigurd. Like old times.
- Sigurd: Remember our hunts beyond the northern way? Our first big kill was a ten-point deer. We brought it down together. The arrows from our bows, like darts of ice.
- Eivor: With sharpened shin-bones for skinning the beast.
- Sigurd: You on the right, me on the left, we leapt and struck!
- Eivor: We crashed to the ground like a felled tree. Then the bloody struggle.
- Sigurd: Damn animal bit my hand! Never knew a buck could bite so hard!
- Eivor: But I pierced its throat, spilling its life-wine into the drifts. That put an end to him.
- Basim: Such tales you siblings tell.
- Sigurd: Just one of a thousand, Basim. It was the glorious dawn of our lives.
- Eivor: You haven't yet explained who this Fulke woman is.
- Sigurd: When the time is right, I will.
- Basim: She is the fulcrum of a larger plan.
- Eivor: Above conquering England? What larger plan could we need?
- Sigurd: Patience, Eivor. Patience.
- Eivor: Fine. Keep your dread secrets, Brother. But if this alliance fails, you may take them to your grave.
- Sigurd: This fever will break once you know the whole truth. I promise.
They reached the garrison, set within roman ruins. At the entrance a crowd of people were gathered around a stone platform.
- Basim: There! We have time yet. They're holding the trials just ahead.
- Sigurd: My blade is thirsty, friends. Shall we roll in like three barrels afire?
- Eivor: No, we must be careful. Do not let the executioner swing his axe.
On the platform, three men knelt bound while Eadwyn's captain addressed the crowd, a soldier standing guard on either side.
- Eivor: They're about to execute the prisoners.
- Judge: These subjects of the Lady Eadwyn have betrayed their oaths to the shire...
- Thegn Sherwin: Not true!
- Judge: Silence! They stand accused and are guilty of spreading calumny against our sainted Lady Eadwyn and engaging in sedition and general disreputable acts!
- Thegn Brant: Pig shite!
The executioner came from deeper in the garrison to stand beside Brant.
- Judge: Each shall be called to confess his perfidy. Confession grants atoned death. Failure to confess earns a disgraceful death.
Moving amongst the crowd, Eivor could hear them whispering to each other.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 2: These are stalwart thegns. What have they done wrong?
- Anglo-Saxon Man 3: Lady Eadwyn is behind this sham trial.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 3: Who will Eadwyn come after next?
- Anglo-Saxon Man 4: Damned if I believe these men are guilty of anything.
(If Eivor went to Holt first)
- Further into the garrison, someone called out to Eivor quietly.
- Thegn Holt: Get me out of here. Eadwyn will have me flayed alive.
- Eivor found Thegn Holt being kept in a wooden cage and freed him.
- Eivor: Stay close. I'll help the others.
Eivor attacked the soldiers.
- Thegn Brant: Rescue us! We can help!
- Judge: Thegn Brant!
- Thegn Brant: I stand innocent!
- Judge: Do you confess to cravenly plotting to betray Lady Eadwyn?
- Thegn Brant: My father, his father, and his father's father all fought for Mercia! I have fought for Mercia! Now you would shackle us to the whoremonger of Wessex? This trial is a sham, and you are an ass.
- Judge: Disgraceful death!
Eivor attacked the soldiers.
- Judge: Thegn Octe!
- Thegn Octe: O, dear Lord.
- Judge: Do you confess to abetting the disgraced Thegn Brant in his betrayal of Lady Eadwyn?
- Thegn Octe: Have mercy! I am but a poor farmer. My crops have seen this shire through bad times. You, yourself, judge, borrowed three bales--
- Judge: Enough! A disgraceful death awaits!
Eivor attacked the soldiers.
- Judge: Thegn Sherwin!
- Thegn Sherwin: Aye.
- Judge: Confess the many ways in which you betrayed Lady Eadwyn of Oxenefordscire.
- Thegn Sherwin: I confess that you have oat mash for brains and that you couple with sheep!
- Judge: Most disgraceful death!
- Judge: Enough justice for now. We will break for the midday meal!
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 3: A rebel!
- Judge: Execute the prisoners at once!
Eivor fought the soldiers, freeing the thegns to help the fight.
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 4: The executioner's been killed! Get the murderer!
- (Thegn Brant freed)
- Thegn Brant: We must bring down Eadwyn once and for all.
- (Thegn Octe freed)
- Thegn Octe: I stand with Geadric
- (Thegn Sherwin freed)
- Thegn Sherwin: I owe you my life, friend.
(If Eivor went to Holt last)
- Further into the garrison, someone called out to Eivor quietly.
- Thegn Holt: Friend, get me out of here before they have my head. Break this bleedin' cage open, would ya?
- Eivor found Thegn Holt being kept in a wooden cage and freed him.
- Eivor: Geadric sent me. Let's get away from this place.
Along with Thegn Holt and the rescued thegns, Eivor, Sigurd, and Basim fought their way out of the garrison.

- Thegn Brant: That's thegn justice for you! You'll regret this!
- (If Octe lives)
- Thegn Octe Fight for Geadric! For Oxenefordscire! Down with Eadwyn!
- (If Sherwin lives)
- Thegn Sherwin: Is that your best shot? I'm taking you down! Thegns united!
- Eivor: I'm sorry about the others. Geadric sent me to find you. Let's go, now!
Along with the surviving thegn(s), Eivor, Sigurd, and Basim fought their way out of the garrison.
- Thegn Holt: For the shire! For God and Mercia! Down with Lady Eadwyn.
They made it out.
- Thegn Holt: We can talk safely over there. We fought with our weaselly ealdorman for years. Now his widow wants to lop off our heads.
The group reached an open area near the river, out of view from the garrison.
- Thegn Holt: Bless you all. Thanks to you, I live to pay Lady Eadwyn back in blood. I am Thegn Holt. Does Geadric live?
- Eivor: He's safe in Buckingham.
- Sigurd: Good thegn, we are at your side in this fight. To keep this land in the hands of those who love Mercia, be they Saxon or Dane.
- Thegn Holt: God in Heaven knows, I'd sooner see a Dane married to my daughter than sell a man of Wessex one of my pigs.
Eivor and Sigurd smirked at each other.
- Thegn Holt: If Geadric is behind you, then I am too.
- Basim: We're told you know of a holy woman, Fulke. Where is she now?
Eivor grew annoyed.
- Eivor: Can we not fixate on this cipher, Fulke? Eadwyn is our focus.
- Sigurd: Fulke holds a secret that may turn the tide of this fight. Without her, I cannot achieve my full purpose here.
- Thegn Holt: The madwoman, Fulke?
- Eivor: You see, Brother? Your mysterious Fulke has a mind in disarray.
- Sigurd: Mad or no, I want to speak with her.
- Eivor: If you want my backing, Brother, you'll explain yourself. How is a madwoman central to your plans?
- Sigurd: When we find her, I will tell you all you wish to know. Until then, nothing.
- Eivor: However deranged she may be, my brother wishes to meet her. The sooner you make this happen, the swifter this war will end.
- Thegn Holt: Understand this. Fulke is a heretic. A sower of poisoned knowledge and an enemy of the Church. She claims to have seen or spoken with God himself, and for this Lady Eadwyn had her imprisoned, I know not where.
- Basim: At a monastery, I suppose. We should make inquiries.
- Eivor: Sigurd, do we not owe Geadric some word of what has happened here?
- Sigurd: You can speak with him in my stead. But we must hurry. Fulke's life may be in danger.
- Eivor: We risk losing all the gains we've made here for the sake of this woman.
Sigurd put a hand on Eivor's shoulder.
- Sigurd: Trust me, Eivor. Fulke is of great importance. You'll soon understand.
- Eivor: I hope I will.
- Sigurd: We have a camp to the east at Linforda. An old harbor on the Great Ouse. Meet us there.
- Thegn Holt: We thegns will raise a fyrd and join with you to take down Eadwyn. Whatever it takes.
- Thegn Holt: The thegns that died here were honorable and just. By my faith, I'll raise a fyrd of able men and take revenge on Eadwyn.
- Thegn Holt: Bring this news to Geadric. And tell him we'll be ready when he calls.
- Eivor: Every man will be needed.
The others left for their own destinations. Before leaving the area, Eivor returned to the garrison to find what she could. In the main building, she found a letter.
- Letter to the Judge
It has fallen to you to render judgment on those several thegns who have flouted Lady Eadwyn's rule. There is no question of innocence, but should they confess, let them die more easily.
In a locked room to one side of the complex, she found another.
- Letter from Lady Eadwyn
Note well, although I cannot fathom his reasoning, our friend Aelfred of Wessex has requested that the heretic Fulke be kept alive.
Therefore, be it so that this Fulke be taken to Saint Albanes Abbey and there imprisoned for the rest of her days.
By commandment, your Lady of the Shire, Eadwyn
Eivor returned to Buckingham. Within the village, it appeared all of Eadwyn's men were gone.
- Eivor: Ah. No soldiers here now. Geadric's cleared them all out.
Before finding Geadric, Eivor returned to the alehouse and spoke to the woman there again.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: Did you find your brother, then?
- Eivor: I'm touched that you would ask.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: I shouldn't'a made you pay. But the silver's been well spent. I've used actual barley for the ale, this batch.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: You had no real cause to frighten me. I'd'a told you where they'd gone, if you'd done me some sweet talk.
- Anglo-Saxon Woman 1: I'm well ashamed I almost made you pay. But it all worked out right, didn't it?
Eivor left the alehouse and continued her search. Outside the longhouse, she found Geadric standing by a broken cart of supplies, talking to some of his men.
- Geadric: She's well supplied, that's for certain. Well done capturing these, lads.
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 5: It was bloody business.
- Geadric: Oil jars, springald arrows, fodder and the like. Take what's useful and burn the rest.
Geadric's men left and Eivor approached him.
- Eivor: Geadric.
- Geadric: Eivor! Do the thegns live?
- Eivor: Every single one. They've set out to raise a fyrd of fighting men. They all stand with you, Geadric.
- Geadric: We'll need every pike and poker we have to take down Eadwyn.
- Eivor: In spite of our efforts, some were killed.
- Geadric: Damn good men, all of 'em. I swear, I'll gut Eadwyn to honor those we lost.
- Geadric: And you, and your brother, are you still with me?
- Eivor: I like your bluntness, Geadric. My axe is yours. My brother's too.
- Geadric: Eadwyn's plopped her haunches down in her castle now. She has men and supplies comin', curse her eyes.
Geadric spat on the ground.
- Geadric: Where is your brother and the odd fellow?
- Eivor: They continue their search for the woman, Fulke. He seems to think she will help us chase Eadwyn to an early grave. But I do not understand how.
- Geadric: You do what you must, Eivor. I'll ready what men I've got for the coming fight. I'll move toward Cyne Belle Castle and bring up the fyrd for an assault. Eadwyn's fortress is strong and sure.
- Eivor: Is there anything I can do to weaken her grip on the shire? Or make her anxious?
Geadric thought about this for a moment.
- Geadric: Ah, there's a notion. You could chip away at her flag-bearers if you see them, and defend my fyrd if any are in strife.

Trivia
- Although Eivor opens the door to the hut and sees Basim and Sigurd in plain view planning around the table directly across from the door, the cutscene on immediately entering the building has Basim surprise her from behind, while Sigurd rises from where he was hidden beside the table on the right side of the room, despite the fact that neither would have had time to quietly and unobtrusively move to their hiding spots in the time between Eivor opening the door and walking to the mission marker.
- If Eivor enters the fish hut before talking to the alewife, the cutscene will still trigger and Eivor will act as though she already spoke to the woman.
- Aside from him holding a dagger to her neck, there is never any in-game explanation for Eivor's apparent hostility toward Basim at the start of this arc. Nor why she's so dismissive of a fyrd when she took East Anglia with one.
- Inside the longhouse, when Eadwyn leaves. A soldier is shown pulling Geadric up and away. When the fight begins a moment later, though, Geadric is still kneeling with no soldier beside him.
- Despite the judge's call to "execute the prisoners immediately" when Eivor is spotted in the garrison, no move is made to actually execute the prisoners.
- Eivor can search the garrison and find the letter stating Fulke is at St. Albanes while Sigurd and Basim are still with her, but it will not be commented on and they will still question Holt as to her whereabouts.
