Lady of the Lake was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description[edit | edit source]
Eivor came across a strange singing woman walking around a lake.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Eivor found a lake filled with corpses.
- Eivor: There is an army of the dead down here.
Eivor heard a singing voice coming from somewhere near the very odd locked house by the lake. On the side of the house, there was a bear in a cage and behind the house, a body strung up upside down.
- Strange Woman: (singing)
- Eivor: Strange, her voice is like a lullaby. I wonder where it leads.
She followed the singing woman in the white hood, approaching her when she stopped at the margins of the lake.
- Eivor: What is it you want? Who are you?
Eivor saw the door to the house open and went to investigate. A note was pinned to the post outside the door.
Scrap of Paper
- Three piggies today. Five piggies tomorrow.
So many lost little pigs. Juicy and fat. I'll feast for days.
As Eivor entered the house, a trap sprung, locking her in and filling the house with poison gas. All around and above her were several hanged and mutilated corpses.
- Eivor: Poison! I need to get out of here.
- Strange Woman: (laughing)
The woman resumed singing while Eivor choked. She moved a barricade and leapt through the window, confronting the singing woman outside.
- Eivor: I'll kill you for that. Have you anything to say?
The woman brandished a knife in hand and fled, using smoke bombs to try to conceal herself from Eivor. However, the enraged Viking proved the better fighter, and the woman's killing spree was put to an end.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
After Eivor got trapped inside the house, she escaped and killed the woman.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
