Warpath was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Basim ibn Ishaq in 2020 through the Portable Animus HR-8.5, in which a vision of one of Odin's memories could be seen.
Description[edit | edit source]
Havi went to speak with Brokkr and Ivaldi.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Havi returned inside Hodda Shelter and heard Brokkr and Ivaldi arguing.
- Brokkr: These are the finest tools you'll ever lay eyes on!
- Ivaldi: The finest? I've forged better in my sleep!
- Brokkr: Yeah? Is that why you were snooping about in the ruins of the old workshop?
- Ivaldi: Only because the Muspels stole everything I had, dimwit.
Havi spoke with the dwarves.
- Havi: Good to see you're getting along.
He turned to Brokkr with his arms crossed.
- Havi: So Brokkr, do you accept your duty?
Brokkr looked to Ivaldi and agreed to help.
- Brokkr: Don't have much choice, do I? Last thing I need is a godly smiting up me arse.
Havi chuckled and placed his hands on their shoulders.
- Havi: Let this be the start of a beautiful new friendship.
- Ivaldi: To study the Salakar, I'll need the very best of tools. Too bad this workshop is lacking.
- Brokkr: Bugger off. I got more stuff here than you can wag a finger at.
- Ivaldi: Doubt it.
Meanwhile, Eysa walked into the shelter, much to the dwarven fugitives' shock.
- Brokkr: If you find something you don't know how to use, just ask.
- Ivaldi: Ha! I'll be giving you lessons on how to use your own―
- Eysa: Bickering dwarves. How unusual.
Eysa joined the conversation.
- Havi: Eysa, you return.
Brokkr ironically and unknowingly echoed Ivaldi's earlier words verbatim.
- Brokkr: What? You deal with a fire nymph?
- Eysa: Not this again.
- Havi: What news do you bring?
- Eysa: My stepmother is stubborn. I cannot push too hard or she will grow suspicious.
- Havi: She has no interest in a trade?
- Eysa: Interest yes, but not yet the will.
- Havi: I don't understand.
- Eysa: The Salakar is all but indestructible. You, on the other hand, are not.
- Havi: She assumes she'll catch me, kill me, and retrieve the Salakar.
- Eysa: Time is on her side.
- Havi: Then I must strip her of this illusion... If I were to make a nuisance of myself, one that cannot be ignored...
- Eysa: Sinmara prepares to lead my father's next major invasion.
- Havi: But if I were to disrupt her plans... it may force her to the bargaining table.
- Ivaldi: Sounds risky to me.
- Havi: I once plotted and carried out the murder of Ymir himself. What do I care of risk?
- Ivaldi: Well, since you put it like that...
- Havi: Where must I strike?
- Eysa: At Afalvat Mylna, my stepmother develops a strange army. At Jöfurrsmida, she breeds beasts of war. And finally there's Drekathorp, her supplies hub.
- Havi: I'll deal with all three.
- Eysa: In the meantime, I shall return to Eitri. I will send word once my stepmother has become more... amenable.
Eysa took her leave.
- Havi: I'll return when I'm done. And I will expect answers regarding the Salakar.
Havi started to leave.
- Brokkr: Alright then, where do we start?
- Ivaldi: If I knew that, I wouldn't be here!
- Brokkr: Miserable sod. We best get on with it then.
- Ivaldi: Yes, you just follow my lead.
- Brokkr: Who put you in charge?
- Ivaldi: You were once your brother's apprentice. Now you are mine.
- Brokkr: Apprentice!? Are you having a laugh? This is my shelter and my rules!
- Ivaldi: Then we are truly doomed.
Havi overheard more of their argument.
- Ivaldi: To solve this task, we must put our minds together. Well, my mind, and whatever you call that thing between your ears.
- Brokkr: Piss off. In all our time together, I never had no complaints from my brother.
- Ivaldi: Mjölnir?
- Brokkr: It wasn't my fault! Everyone knows that! Everyone!
- Ivaldi: Of course it wasn't.
Havi left Hodda Shelter behind and began his campaign of sabotage.
- Havi: I have work to do.
Havi headed towards Afalvat Mylna and arrived to see both Muspel and Jötnar guards.
- Havi: So this is where Sinmara creates her mysterious army.
Havi found the empty Muspel bodies and started to smash them.
- Havi: Not even Loki could dream up such twisted aberrations of nature!
Havi soon found all the empty bodies and destroyed them all.
- Havi: Do you weep yet, Sinmara? This is just a small vengeance for what you did to Frigg.
Havi headed towards Drekathorp.
- Havi: So, this is where the she-demon stores her precious supplies...
Arriving at the shipyard, Havi started to destroy the Muspels' supplies.
- Havi: Soon Surtr's warriors will have grumbling bellies, and only sticks with which to fight.
Havi soon decimated all of the Muspels' supplies.
- Havi: Why wait for Ragnarök? I bring my own.
Havi traveled to Jöfurrsmida. Upon his arrival, he started to look for the wild beasts.
- Havi: Unleash the beasts!
Within the Muspel stronghold, Havi released the wild boar constructs from their cages.
- Havi: If there are more, I must release them too.
Havi released the other constructed boars and then sought out their schematics.
- Havi: It is done! The pigs run wild!
Havi found and destroyed the schematics used to create the boars.
- Havi: Without these plans, no further beasts can be bred. No more piggies for you, Sinmara!
With his work complete, Havi made his way to the exit.
- Havi: Once Baldr is free, he and I shall feast on the roasted flesh of these mighty pigs!
With all three locations ransacked, Havi turned back towards Hodda Shelter for the next stage of his plan.
- Havi: Now Sinmara will negotiate. Baldr for the Salakar... and then, together, he and I will steal it back.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
Havi weakened Sinmara's invasion plan by destroying her armies, supplies, and wild boars.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The three locations may be tackled in any order, and Havi's commentary within them makes no order-dependent references to the other areas. For the purposes of this page, they have been arranged according to the order in which Eysa lists them, and they run southeast through Vangrinn away from Hodda Shelter towards the border with Gullnámar.
