England's Protector was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Eivor tracks down the Champion of the Faith in England.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Eivor made her way to the Northern Monastery in River Severn, encountering the Champion herself.
- Severn Champion: We'll cut you down where you stand, filthy heathens!
Eivor defeated her and her two bodyguards, claiming Rollo's Lost Dane Axe for herself.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
Eivor killed the holy champion and took their weapon.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Champion fights with two bodyguards at their side. However, Eivor can fight alongside up to eight Jomsvikings, many of whom will likely be high levels based on progression of the River Raids memories and renovations of the Jomsviking Hall, rendering the battle a footnote in the grand scheme of the memory.
Upon killing the champion and returning to Ravensthorpe to bank the acquired loot, the river will reset to low river defenses, even though the internal alert was raised to maximum from attacking a monastery.
