The Letter
The Letter was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description
Eivor met with Hytham to discuss a letter that arrived for her.
Dialogue
Some time after reporting on Hamtunscire and slaying the last members and Zealots of the Order of the Ancients, Eivor made her way to the Ravensthorpe bureau to speak with Hytham, instead finding him just outside the longhouse.
- Hytham: Eivor, there you are. I have something for you. A message... quite strange.
Eivor approached and spoke to him.
- Eivor: Something for me? What is it?
- Hytham: A letter, requesting your presence in the southwest. A village called Athelnay.
- Eivor: Nothing strange about a summons for me, is there?
- Hytham: It is not the recipient I find strange. It is the sender. The letter is signed, A Poor Fellow-Soldier of Christ.
- Eivor: Ah. Our mysterious partner.
- Hytham: For a short time, I hoped it might be Basim feeding us the names of these targets. He seemed the most likely man for a time.
- Eivor: Only one way to discover the truth. Thank you, Hytham. I will take care of this.
Hytham handed Eivor the letter before leaving.
Letter from the Poor Fellow-Soldier of Christ
- Eivor of the Raven Clan of Mercia.
The Order of Ancients is all but destroyed and your good works in England are all but complete. One heathen still remains, the Grand Maegester of this contemptible order.
Should you wish to finish your work, come to Athelnay in the northwest of Hamtunscire, and we will discuss the means by which you may find this last, elusive target.
Blessings upon you,
A Poor Fellow-Soldier of Christ
Outcome
Eivor left for Athelnay to meet with her mysterious ally so she could end the hunt for the members of the Order.
