Eivor pondered on what she must do next in her life.
Dialogue
Eivor sat down on a log across Ravensthorpe and took a deep breath.
Eivor:Odin... I feel you close... an uproar of memories, stretching far into the past. I have silenced you and your influence. But I know you have so much to say.
Eivor standing besides her male self
Eivor saw a male version of herself as Odin, with a patch over the eye. She stood up and walked towards the shore facing her settlement while her other self followed.
Eivor:You are with me always. Deep within my hugr. I could trap you in this darkness until my end, resisting forever this second side of myself. Or I could learn from you. To better understand the world that once was. Long, long ago. But not here. Not in sight of those who would not understand what I am. Who we are. I have done all I can for my people. It is time to say goodbye. And set forth for distant shores. And new adventures.[note 1]
A male version of Eivor sat down on a log across Ravensthorpe and took a deep breath.
Odin:Eivor... I am still with you, drifting at the edge of your memory.
He looked to Eivor, who had sat down besides him. She stood up and walked towards the shore facing her settlement with him following.
Odin:You have tamed the Odin within you, but I have not disappeared. I am with you always, embedded deep within your hugr. Will you keep me in the darkness until your end, resisting forever this side of yourself? Or could you learn from me? To better understand the world that was. The world I left behind. But not here. Not in sight of those who would not understand who you are. Who we are. Have you not done all you can for your people? Say your goodbyes. And set forth for distant shores. And new adventures.[note 1]
Eivor and her vision of Odin looked at Raventhorpe together, with her leaving shortly after.
Outcome
Eivor decided to visit a few friends and acquaintances before she left the country.

Behind the scenes
Narrative Director Darby McDevitt wrote this scene to differ whether playing as male or female as another way to confirm the canonical female gender of Eivor. [citation needed]
While Ubisoft's own website[1] lists instructions for accessing the Last Chapter of Eivor's saga, much of the information is slightly misleading and omits some essential details, with one point being completely inaccurate. The website states that players need to have "Completed the main storyline by forming an alliance with all territories of England, completed the storyline of Asgard and Jötunheim, killed all targets of the Order of the Ancients and unveil[ed] the leader," and "upgraded [your] settlement to level 5 and built the Jomsviking Hall."
In actuality, the only requirements to access 'Last Goodbyes' are: Complete Reporting on Hamtunscire, which denotes the end of the main story and is itself a prerequisite to two of the other requirements; fully complete Breaking the Order by giving Hytham all of the Order of the Ancients medallions, including the final medallion; complete The Forge and the Flame, which only unlocks after completing both the final pledge to Hamtunscire as well as renovating Ravensthorpe to Settlement Renown level 5; and complete Cheating Fate, the final memory of what is technically the second Asgard story arc after the solitary Jotunheim arc, then waking up to return to England.
As such, the Jomsviking Hall is not required at all, and much like the other side content buildings on the eastern side of the creek running through Ravensthorpe, its construction does not increment into the Settlement Renown mechanic. In fact, the player is not even required to create their game profile's personal Jomsviking, which brings Vagn to the settlement.
Additionally, if the pledge to Vinland is left until after completing the pledge to Hamtunscire, the player need not even complete that by speaking to Randvi. As soon as Gorm is killed and his medallion collected, the player may proceed with killing the remaining Order members. In the end, 'Breaking the Order,' 'The Forge and the Flame,' and 'Cheating Fate'—and their prerequisites by extension—are the only completed quests the game checks for before enabling 'Last Goodbyes.'
Notes
↑ 1.01.1Which of the following dialogue appear depends on whether the male or female avatar of Eivor is being used. It is unclear which if not both are canon.
