A Blood Hymn for Edmund was a virtual representation of one of Eivor's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Animus.

Dialogue
Eivor entered the church in Edmund's Hope to see a saintly woman surrounded by dead Norsemen.
- Aelfwyn: O Lord, forgive not these men their trespasses. Send them instead to the same Hell they brought upon our land. If their blood does not cleanse them of their sins, send them to Hell with the others. O Lord, forgive them not, forget them not.
- Eivor: Did you kill these men?
- Aelfwyn: These defilers killed themselves by despoiling this sacred ground. God told me the full tale. Then he told me to chastise them. And he has told me much about you, too.
Aelfwyn then attacked Eivor, forcing them to fight back.
- Eivor: Stand down, Saxon! I mean you no harm!
Eivor defeated Aelfwyn.
- Aelfwyn: May God strike you down!
- Eivor: Tell me again. What did your God say about me?
- Aelfwyn: My God names you as the Crow-Eyed Devil. And he sends out his angels to find you and kill you. And then they will fling you into the pits of Hell, demon.
She then expired from her wounds. Eivor then read a note on the altar.
- Worthful Offering
- O Lord,
Take these gifts, my blood offering, as a sign of devotion to your mighty Cause. I have laid waste a dozen heathens for your greater Glory, though one crept up into the rafters to die, so that you might smite him down at your leisure. May his blood and body please you, my Lord.
Your most devoted apostle,
Saint Aelfwyn,
Hammer of the Heathens.
Outcome
Eivor was forced to kill Aelfwyn.
