A Distorted Dream was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan in 2020 through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.[1]

Eivor went to meet an unknown visitor, who camped nearby Valka's Hut.

Eivor arrived back home in Ravensthorpe as she noticed an occurence at Valka's Hut.

  • Eivor: Looks like something is happening near Valka's hut. Perhaps I should take a look.

  • Edyt: Eivor! I can hardly believe it's you. The one fated to save my people.
  • Eivor: That woman seems to know me.

Eivor arrived on the Isle of Skye, alongside Edyt, to solve the mystery of the nightmares.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

This memory and its accompanying arc are only accessible after players have both completed A Wise Friend where Valka arrives in Ravensthorpe and the settlement's renown has reached Level 4.

If building the Seer's Hut is the final notch of "experience" to raise the Settlement Level to 4, or if Level 4 has been reached before building the hut, Edyt's tent will immediately load and Eivor's dialogue commenting on her arrival will fire immediately, before the in-game overview shot of the settlement's level raising. Edyt will also be visible in the background of the initial dialogue for In Dreams... between Eivor and Valka.
