Dellingr Rabbit was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Description

Eivor came across a man talking to a hare.

Dialogue

Eivor came upon a Norseman talking to a rabbit.

  • Norse Man: Loki Rabbit! I call on you, nay, demand of you: Send me a holmgang champion to test my might!

Eivor drew closer.

  • Norse Man: I am waiting to fight your champion, Loki Rabbit! Send them forth to meet me in the square!

He took notice of Eivor approaching the square.

  • Norse Man: Is this the champion you've conjured for the holmgang, Loki Rabbit? Looks like a fine fighter to me.
  • Eivor: A warrior I am, but I have nothing to do with a rabbit.

Eivor spoke to the man immediately to being the fight.

Eivor walked off to attend to other matters, but returned later.

  • Norse Man: Your champion comes crawling back, Loki Rabbit! Good! I am ready.
Eivor spoke to the man to begin the fight.

  • Norse Man: Aye, I've been ready. I am ready! Fists up!

The rabbit looked on as the two fought.

Eivor bested the deluded warrior.

  • Eivor: Yield.

  • Norse Man: Aye! And what did Loki Rabbit promise you, champion? Wealth? Fame? Honor?
  • Eivor: The rabbit said nothing. A lesson you should learn.

Eivor then focused on the rabbit, who appeared to be waiting for her, before running off.

  • Eivor: Where are you off to, "Loki?"
She followed the rabbit to a nook near the peak of the mountain, which held a bag containing loot and a precious ring.

  • Norse Man: We will crown a new champion today! Me! Loki! Your champion has fallen! Reward me! Where is Loki Rabbit? He's... he's gone!
With the rabbit long gone, Eivor left the man to his own devices. She may have tracked down the rabbit on her own regardless of her loss.

  • Eivor: Guise is a trickster's trade. That man will forever play the fool.

Outcome

Eivor defeated the man in battle and followed the hare to a sack of loot and the mythical ring Andvaranaut.
