  • With Juno's aid, Odin stole the serum of the seventh solution in order to survive the impending catastrophe. Using the serum,[2] Juno secretly added samples of Aita's genetic code into the human DNA allowing him to be reborn in humans as Sages,[8] after which she agreed to end his suffering.[7]
  • Juno secretly tampered with the Eye built by Minerva to prevent humanity from inheriting the Earth. After her treachery[7] and role in Odin's theft of the serum[2] was discovered, the High Council stripped her of her title[2] Minerva and Jupiter digitally imprisoned her consciousness inside the Grand Temple.[7]

75000 BC (2306 Isu Era)

  • Minerva made preparations for another solution involving the global aurora borealis device to be tried during the next solar cycle, hoping that it would be successful without Juno's influence.[7]
  • A solar flare struck the Earth, exterminating most of the Earth's population;[4] less than ten thousand humans, and far fewer members of the Isu, survived the catastrophe.[9]
  • As the Great Catastrophe struck the Earth, Odin, Tyr, Thor, Freyja, Idun, Frey, Sif, Heimdall, and another of his trusted advisors used the serum to upload their DNA into the Yggdrasil device and be reborn as humans in a future generation, before meeting their inevitable doom. Loki killed one of the Isu before they could leave the chamber and secretly used the serum to be reborn as well.[2]

    • At the same moment Desmond activated the Eye in the Grand Temple, Álvaro Gramática was having his last session with Violet Da Costa in order to say his goodbyes to Consus. However, whilst in the middle of the conversation, Juno interfered in the stream as she had just been freed from her digital prison by Desmond and unbeknowst to Álvaro, communicated directly with Violet and turned her into a devoted follower charging her to be in command of the Instruments of the First Will, thus setting the first part of her plan for the future of humanity in motion.[1]

  • November 1: Juhani Otso Berg received a heads up by Violet da Costa about an assignment due to take place in Bangalore, India, rumors of a powerful diamond that is in fact a fragment of Eden called the Koh-i-noor had resurfaced. Everything led to Jot Soora, a programmer in Bangalore that worked for an Abstergo subsidiary called Mysore Tech, that specialized in VR devices such as the Animus Omega variant in Asia called the Brahman VR. that secretly extracted genetic memories of its users. The intel believed that a group of assassins in India might use the Brahman to locate the Koh-i-noor for unspecified reasons.[78]

    • Abstergo agents led by Juhani Otso Berg raided the Assassin hideout in the Chor Bazaar in Mumbai, resulting in the death of Dinesh and several Abstergo agents; their captive Jot Soora managed to escape. Shortly after, Juhani Otso Berg arrived at the site too late, where he reported back to Abstergo declaring Jot Soora’s bloodline as a dead end. Assuming the Assassins had nothing about the fragment of Eden, Berg decided to close the case and proceeded to his next mission. He advised nonetheless that now India needed to be monitored for any Assassin acitivity.

Laetitia did this to reassign Sigma Team’s assets how she sees fit to fulfill the goals of the Phoenix Project. Berg, baffled by the idea, recommended Delta team to go on a relic hunt instead, to which Laetitia stated that these so called relics, were the key to sequence the triple helix discovered in the Sage at Montreal, one of these relics in particular being the Koh-i-noor. After the meeting, Berg was assigned to go in quest of such relic that might be of use to the Phoenix Project. After a breach was detected in the Abstergo cloud servers originated in India Berg was sent to investigate.[52]
  • December 2:
    • Rebecca sent a message to Gavin stating that they had succeeded on their mission, they discovered Desmond’s body whereabouts, although there had been some complications along the way. Their original mole, being John Standish, was shot by Abstergo security after they found out that he was the hacker causing trouble within the building’s hardware and caught red-handed trying to harm an employee that had discovered him. She also mentioned that this employee in question was now their new mole, the latter agreed on providing them day-to-day information about Abstergo, as well as access to all servers. Now that they had a mole within the building for the Assassins, they decided it was better for them to withdraw from Montreal and lay low for a while, to which Gavin agreed and congratulated them about their work and informed them that they were heading to Osaka.[17]
    • The Employee also gave to the Assassins everything Abstergo had recovered from Desmond's body, including recorded memos destined to his father. Thanks to this, William was able to move on, and thanked the Employee.[8]
  • December 4: Gavin’s team arrived at Japan. They proceeded to visit the headquarters accompanied by Emanuel Barazza but found themselves with the sight of a gruesome scene. The Assassin cell was decimated. Thanks to his eagle vision, Gavin was able to determine that not Abstergo but the Yakuza were responsible for the massacre. Shortly after, he ordered his team to search the city for any survivors and responsible Yakuza alike.[17]
  • December 6: Emmet Leary, the cell’s hacker, picked up on a recent gang war in which one branch of the Yakuza known as the Onmoraki-Gumi has been violently wiped out but their business fronts were still operating.[17]
  • December 12: Susan Drayton, went ashore to help with the investigation. Emmanuel, on his own, roamed Osaka until he managed to track a cash deposit through the back streets of the Onmoraki's new HQ.[17]
  • December 13: Fake news emerged about who was the new leader of the Onmoraki-Gumi. No one among the crew was able to identify who it was, casuing Gavin to grow impatient. He finally decided it was better to go and confront them directly.[17]
  • December 16: The Blood Vial stolen by the Initiate resurfaced in the Abstergo laboratory in Philadelphia were it was used by the doctor and examiner of the Lineage and Acquisition division: Damian Saravakos, on a employee at Abstergo called Milton Jones, who was in fact a descendant of the famous Pirate-turned Assassin Adewalé. In order to extract his blood, nurse Deanna Geary was tasked to befriend him until the point that Milton developed a loving care for her. When they managed to extract his blood they eventually figured it was a waste of time and resources, but Damian passed on his case to Abstergo Entertainment nonetheless, which eventually ended up creating a standalone product for the Omega VR out of his memories, derived from their upcoming mega hit "Pirates Of Nightmares" video game inspired from the data gathered by the analyst who reviewed Edward Kenway's memories.[17] [8][70]
  • December 17:
    • The Assassin crew of the Altair II joined up with the Assassin cell in Osaka, who had taken up the guise of the Yakuza gang Onmoraki-Gumi, under the new leadership of Saeko Mochizuki, following the death of her husband Kenichi Mochizuki after an Abstergo attack.[17]
    • Gavin and Emmanuel went to the headquarters of the Onmoraki-Gumi to confront them. They were soon greeted by a guard who introduced himself as Kiyoshi Takakura and threatened to harm them if they did not leave the premises immediately. Gavin refused and insulted him, thus provoking Kiyoshi who ultimately attacking him. He was no rival for Kiyoshi and Emmanuel was unable to help as he reminded Gavin that he was a pacifist. Other members of the Onmoraki-Gumi emerged to watch the fight, which allowed Emmanuel to eavesdrop on their conversations about how "Grandma" would not be happy with this because of how hard she had worked to hide the Brotherhood tracks due to recent events. Gavin's life was then saved by Emmanuel, who opposed himself in the middle of them, his hand in front of Kiyoshi's Hidden Blade, revealing to Kiyoshi that he and Gavin were Assassins.[17]
  • December 18: Gavin alongside his crew went on a meeting with the head of the Onmoraki-Gumi and Mentor of the Osaka Assassins. Saeko Mozikuchi, wife of Kenichi Mochizuki, the former mentor. Gavin and Saeko discussed the recent events and learned that Saeko took over the Osaka Brotherhood after Kenichi was killed. She was responsible for an Assassin’s strike that destroyed the old Onmoraki-Gumi in revenge for the murder of Kenichi and the Assassins, before taking on their identity. Gavin was somewhat bitter on this revelation but decided to not intervene on the decisions their cell made.[17]
  • December 19-20: Gavin exchanged information with Saeko over the course of their stance in Japan. After learning that the Osaka Brotherhood was low on supplies due to their recent fights with the Local Yakuza, Gavin gave them the guns his cell had bought from the Philippines as well as the contact information for their supplier there. Gavin was then gifted with a new type of Animus headset that Saeko's team had stolen from an Abstergo Industries facility: The Animus Omega, the same used at Abstergo Entertainment. Saeko then warned Gavin that she feared the Templars were planning something big.[17]
  • December 23: Gavin and Emmanuel were being treated by the ship's doctor, Stephanie Chiu, and Gavin decided it was time to recruit an enforcer for the team as with Emmanuel constantly refusing to take a life, his presence was kind of obsolete for the them at the point that he even questioned the authenticity of him being a Assassin if he could not kill. He decided to keep him nonetheless, avoiding to let the frustration of his injuries cloud his judgements.[17]
  • December 25:
    • For the first time in a long time, Gavin's crew drifted away from the usual violence and discussions of planned murder to gather around the table for a feast made by the ship’s chef, Nodar Ninidze, savouring a good home-made brew. [17]
    • Juhani Otso Berg tasked Violet Da Costa to deliver John Standish’s body to Álvaro Gramática at his lab in Paris, instructing Álvaro that Abstergo wanted him to create a precursor body in addition to the Project Phoenix’s main goal of sequencing the Triple Helix DNA to unlock the pieces of Eden full potential. After Gramática and da Costa's partnership ended, Gramática continued studying the Shroud by himself.[1]
  • December 31: Gavin and his crew went to Tokyo with Saeko and Kiyoshi to gather supplies for their next mission. As the rest of his team occupied themselves across the city enjoying the festivities, Gavin ran across Tokyo's rooftops to deal with his stress, and decided to stop at midnight to watch the fireworks that were set off to celebrate the new year, with a restful mind, having secured the Japanese Brotherhood. [17]

2014

  • January 1: The Japanese Brotherhood was now secured, the job was done, it was time for them to move on. William decided it was time to come back amidst the ranks of the Brotherhood, but was not that easy to contact nonetheless. Gavin Banks and his crew waited two more weeks before departing so they had time to resupply and prepare themselves for the next part of their journey.[17]
  • January 15: Gavin and his crew left Japan focusing on the next clue left by William in his journal.[17]
  • January 21: Melanie Lemay was promoted to the new Chief Creative Officer of Abstergo Entertainment, starting in March, following Olivier Garneau's disappearance.[23]
  • January 24: Melanie Lemay, still in shock due to her recent acknowledgement about the existence of a precursor race and just settled in her new office, received a phone call from Álvaro Gramática asking her to write a memoir of her time working with the Sage John Standish detailing his personal life for his research in the Phoenix Project.[23]
  • February 10: An Abstergo Industries employee by the name of Layla Hassan contacted Sophia Rikkin daughter of Alan Rikkin via Email and proposed a new version of the Animus for her upcoming projects, being the Animus 4.3 that would allow the user to be in a more immersive simulation under the form of a robotic arm on a six-axis motion rig suspended from the ceiling instead of a chair. Her project was reviewed by Sophia’s head of engineering Gabriel King at an Abstergo Facility in Madrid, though it was first regarded as something Sci-Fi like and mocked about but after second thoughts considered as an asset to be exploited.[13]
  • February 19: Gavin's crew finally managed to decipher the clue in William's book which led them to Moscow.[17]
  • February 24: The Assassins Harlan T. Cunningham and Arend Schut led an attack to an Abstergo compound in Rotterdam in order to retrieve a precursor box in one of the laboratories. Arend organized a diversion throughout the city attacking diverse Templar agents in an attempt to draw attention away from his partner Harlan who infiltrated the complex and managed to steal the Box but not without encountering Master Templar Otso Berg during his escape. Arend, on his side, found himself in a firefight with Sigma Team and was able to take out several templar operators and agent Sorkin as a hostage, right before using a smoke bomb to escape and reunite with Harlan to rescue him, as he had been taken captive by Juhani Otso Berg. Arend managed to ensue a fight with the templars and rescued Harlan leaving the Box behind, escaping the compound forced to abandon the mission objective.[52]
  • February 27: Álvaro Gramática informed Mélanie Lemay, now the recently promoted CEO of Abstergo Entertainment, that he was on his way to Montreal, stating that he was in Toronto on layover with nine hours still ahead of him to arrive at his destination, but that meanwhile he wanted to ask her if she reviewed the documents he had sent to her earlier in the week. Mélanie affirmed to have reviewed them and was baffled at what she had witnessed in the files. The documents Álvaro provided her were images taken two centuries after the Toba catastrophe. Mélanie, curious, outlined the strange architecture mentioning having never seen anything like it before, to which Álvaro reassured that very few people had so it was imperative that she kept silent on the matter. Mélanie asked if they had something else apart from the still images, but apparently that was all Álvaro's team was able to gather from a Sage's DNA. Mélanie guessed that from that point forward, Álvaro would be looking for more sages to exploit their DNA, on the lookout for more valid sources to explore the Isu era in depth. Álvaro explained that the plan was to look for Sages, relics, such as the Blood Vials and with luck, Pieces of Eden that would help accelerate the research of Project Phoenix. After hearing this, Mélanie informed him that she would dispatch a researcher on the matter immediately. Pleased by her statement, Álvaro ended the phone call wishing her good luck for her upcoming business presentation as the new CEO.[23]
  • March 7: The crew of the Altaïr II finally reached Russia and Gavin alongside Emmet and Emmanuel took the Trans-Siberian straight up to the capital for the next part of the puzzle, on their way to the capital they managed to get in contact with an Assassin woman that requested their help for a grim task, the latter being aiding her in assassinating her mother. [17]
  • March 16: Having arrived at Moscow, Gavin’s Crew established contact with the unknown woman introducing herself as Galina Voronina, who turned out to be an Assassin belonging to the Russian Brotherhood. She needed help in order to assassinate her mother, Medeya Voronina. Her cell in Protvino had gone silent because her mother had built her own Animus back in the 70's following the instructions depicted in blueprints stolen by William Miles which handed them over to her so she could build their own Animus to be one step ahead of the Templars. Eversince she had constructed the machine, she forced the other Assassins to use it, driving them insane because of the Bleeding Effect.[17]
  • March 20: Gavin alongside Emmet, Galina and Emmanuel assaulted the russian Assassin compound which was dwelling by the mentally deranged remnants of the Brotherhood and watched as Galina almost easily eliminated them as well as her sister with her double hidden blades, finally breaking into the Animu's room. There, they found Galina's mother connected to her own constructed animus, which was swiftly put out of her misery. During the Scene, Emmett noticed a face in one of the monitors, when Galina ended her mother’s life the face vanished. This resulted in the complete decimation of the Russian Brotherhood leaving Galina as the sole survivor.[17]
  • March 26: After the incident in Protvino, Gavin convinced Galina to join the Altair’s II crew as his enforcer, taking her with him to Saint Petersburg, where the Altaïr II was docked. He also had the Ninidze brothers to arrange for their contacts in Georgia to form a new Russian Brotherhood, with Saeko Mochizuki providing weapons from the Philippines.[17]
  • April 10: The Altair II crew arrived at the city of Helsinki in Finland, where they docked and took the time to think about the next step of their journey. However, Gavin had grown tired of the extended silence from William and the news of decimated cells of the Brotherhood around the world started to catch up on him. By then, the Brisbane, Whistler, Florence, Denver and now Moscow cells were gone. There was half a cell left in Osaka which was struggling to rebuild itself and the Sao Paulo one hasn’t been giving any response to comms over two years. Gavin spent a couple more days analyzing William’s journal and thinking to himself until he found out William’s Initials written on one of the pages and dechipered the set of numbers written below, leading him to Norway.[17]
  • April 24: Gavin decided it was time to find William’s whereabouts and confront him about everything that happened since he was left in charge of the Brotherhood, as at this point he took his lack of contact personally. He ordered the crew to locate William Miles, hours later, they managed to get a hold on his location which apparently was in a remote bunker in Norway. Now that William was found, Gavin knew what to do next and he was not particularly happy.[17]
  • May 1: The Altair II finally arrived at William’s bunker hidden in a cove near the city of Tromsø. Once inside, Shaun and Rebecca greeted the crew, but William and Gavin did not say anything as if they never knew each other. Gavin then broke the silence and demanded that a serious conversation was to be had. He handed him back his journal stating that he felt that he had played him by going away and coming back one year later, William then told him that he needed time to grieve and choose Gavin to pass on his legacy as he was the only one in the world he trusted the most, but he realized that everything the brotherhood was doing was greater than him or his son, so he had to come back. Gavin was exhausted from all the riddles and puzzles and stated that he just wanted to get out of there and do real work out in the real world instead of chasing ghosts.[17]
  • May 4: Rebecca was doing maintenance and upgrading the ship’s computers systems, so the crew could take their leave, and noticed among the computer's mainframe left over files containing written logs detailing that someone on board of the ship had been sending coded messages to the “Initiates database” regularly over the past two years, meaning that there was a spy on board of the ship, this forced William and Gavin to put their differences aside. He ordered his crew to be confined, excluding Galina, William on his side prepared his “white room” an interrogation room, for everyone to be questioned one by one, stating that after what happened with Lucy Stillman they could not afford any mistake in terms of security and tasked Shaun and Rebecca who were still on board of the ship, to run background checks on everyone.[17]
  • May: Juhani Otso Berg was sent to Essen in Germany, to recover any possible information about the Ankh of Isis. After a thorough research in the city, Berg gave up and asked his partner, Violet Da Costa, to compile a list about all the official and unofficial known records of the Ankh. After a data sweep, Berg and Da Costa suggested that the Ankh was a decoy created by the Assassins to waste the Templars time searching for a fake Piece of Eden. Realizing the whole mission was pointless, he discarded the search of the Ankh and continued his search for other Pieces of Eden, heading to the next site in Cuba.[52]
  • May 7–13: Crewmembers of the Altair II were interrogated in William Miles' bunker in Tromsø, Norway to flush out a spy who had been sending coded messages to the Initiates, a hacker group.[17]
  • May 23: Eric Cooper and Stephanie Chiu were discovered to be Initiate spies by the Assassins, William gathered the whole crew to reveal who the spy was, he gave a speech to the crew stating how in the past treason among Assassin ranks was punished by death, to what Shaun tried to avoid, by double checking the crew’s background but William had made up his mind and proceeded to order Galina to kill Dr. Stephanie Chiu. The crew was baffled at this, so Eric Cooper stood in the way, Gavin told him to stand down but he revealed that he was the one who wrote the reports, thus taking the blame on himself. However Stephanie stood up too to defend him stating that although he wrote the reports she was the one who uploaded the reports to the Initiates database. Eric urged her to keep silent, but she replied that they were together in the operation so if someone had to die it was both of them. At that moment, Gavin assured that nobody was about to die. Eric was in shock and didn’t understand what was going on. William took over the situation saying that it was all a ruse to flush them out as even if he wanted to exterminate the Initiates, he did not have the resources, so the interviews were only a means to get to know more about each one of them and admitted that he came away impressed. Shaun broke the bad mood by commenting about how hilarious it was that the spy was scottish and the situation tempered down. Eric, out of a joke, asked William if he was trying to give him a heart attack, to which he answered that they needed to let an old man have his fun making all the members in the room on the same page once again.[17]
  • May 25: Juhani Otso Berg led a Templar expedition in Jamaica to find the Observatory. [23]
  • May 30:
    • Mélanie called Álvaro Gramática to give him an update on the Sage research they had been talking about months earlier. She followed the Sample 17 bloodline as requested, in the list of Sage references attached to the initial report on the Toba Catastrophe, from which a faint echo of a Sage from the 5th century CE some time around the Hun Empire showed up, but it was too far back to properly investigate, so it was quickly discarded. However, a sample retrieved from a local Montrealer revealed an ancestor called Arno Dorian from Revolutionary France. Mélanie noted that he wasn’t a Sage himself but that he may have come across one during his lifetime. Álvaro wasn’t very convinced and asked her if there were more leads. Mélanie said that there was also a singer from the mid 20th century in England called David Jones, but there was no further information. After a second thought, Álvaro ordered her to look into the Frenchman just in case, advising her to act however she saw fit to complete the task, thus ending the call.[23]
    • After several days of digging, Berg concluded that the temple suffered a catastrophic collapse in the 18th century and was deliberately buried by the Assassins. He ordered the expedition to cease its activities and notified Abstergo that the operation had to be put on hold due to the lack of manpower, stating that they will return with more capable equipment and operatives.[23]
    • While Rebbeca was analyzing the Initiates database, she came away impressed that in order to make it work, they had somehow arranged a wide network of satellites to transmit data anywhere they wanted in the world, thus creating an “Outernet” for themselves to operate in. Still baffled at this discovery, Emmet asked how they lasted that long without Abstergo noticing them. Eric stated that due to the amount of rockets and satellites sent from earth, the orbit of the planet was literally clouded by a layer of debris that served as camouflage for their satellites, referring to it as their own way of “Hiding in plain sight”. Shaun couldn’t help but ask how they managed to fund their resources or who was in charge if they were just a bunch of nerds. Stephanie said that they were funded by all kinds of private citizens, having military connections, people at Harvard, MIT and even eccentric billionaires too. Eric stepped in the conversation stating that there were no actual leaders but four individuals that gave directions to guide the research among the Initiates. Although Stephanie admitted that the people responsible for the creation of the database was a mystery, she stated that rumors were spread online that alluded to the four individuals in question being the founders but it wasn’t something that was taken for granted in the Initiates community.[17]
    • Rebecca expressed her excitement towards the Initiates network comparing it to what the Assassin network used to be before the Great Purge, stating that she thought she would never see something like that again. Shaun however, was disappointed of their behaviour, telling Stephanie that if they had been monitoring everything all that time, they could at least have stepped in at some point to help out the brotherhood. Stephanie stated that the Initiates made a vow to stay “neutral” and gather knowledge as that was their primary goal, although Shaun told her that it was a noble cause, he highlighted that a lot of people would've still been alive if they had been a “little less neutral”, especially in the past three years.[17]
  • June 6: After the Initiates on board of the ship were discovered and the situation calmed down among the crew, William and Gavin decided to take their conversation from where they’d had left it. William asked Gavin if he was still angry at him, to which he responded that he wasn’t angry anymore with him but over the whole situation. William reasoned Gavin by telling him that he could use anger as a kind of momentum to move forward, comparing the situation as when he had learned what Abstergo did to Desmond’s body after he died, thus re-igniting his fire for the fight. Gavin, in a sigh of tiredness, stated that after what he had witnessed this past year, he lost track of everything, believing that they had actually already lost the fight. William admitted that he felt the same way up until the Initiates showed up, leading him to think that they may be part of the solution, however, Gavin highlighted that they weren’t fighters. William nodded to that statement, thus reassuring him that they weren’t going to be in charge of them, they will keep finding people who wanted to get their hands dirty, while Rebecca and Shaun handled the Initiates, stating that they had already more than proven themselves, that it was time to see what they were made of by rallying them to their cause.[17]
  • June 10-12: Mélanie had to attend her business presentation at the VEX (Virtual Entertainment eXposition) press training in Los Angeles, California. There, she premiered Abstergo Entertainment's new project called “Helix” that was due to release in fall. Helix was a new user experience that would use the real history as a playground letting anyone explore their own past as well as pre-loaded memories and experience it as a videogame, while Abstergo would archive all of the users sessions thanks to the Helix cloud storage and servers required for Abstergo’s Big Data to scan and file simultaneously all the users memories for post analysis by the Lineage and Acquisition division to locate and secure samples of subjects of interest. This was achieved thanks to the Animus program as they were using the same hardware and technology, including the DDS that would later play a significant role for the completion of The Phoenix Project.[23]
  • June 16: William alongside Gavin, made up a plan for the Initiates to join their cause, ordering Shaun to hack into the Initiates database sending a message to their network with the goal of rallying as many Initiates as they could.[17]
  • June 18: After the Helix reveal at the VEX convention in California, Mélanie started the search for the Sages as requested by Álvaro Gramática and began massively hiring employees to explore different individuals through time. A particular Research Analyst called Robert Fraser stood out because of his work history as well as his dedication and was subsequently admitted at Abstergo Entertainment in Montreal, to test the new Helix program. He was greeted by Helix Project Coordinator Aidan Saint Claire, welcoming him on board of the program and gave him the required Employee HandBook to get familiar with the facility and it's policies.[93]
  • June 19: Robert Fraser was introduced to his new assignment. His mission was to recover as much information as he could about an 18th century Frenchman called Arno Dorian, confirmed to be an active Assassin during the French Revolution, in Paris. Robert was set at his workstation and began exploring Arno's genetic memories. Over the course of his investigation, he illustrated his handbook with hand drawn sketches and reports of the historical figures he would see throughout Arno's memories. He was congratulated by Mélanie over his artistic talent but this raised a red flag for his supervisor, Aidan, who was worried that he was spending too much time immersed in his drawings, which could mean that it was possibly the first signs of the Bleeding Effect starting to manifest.[93]
  • June 25: Over the days, Robert got even deeper into his inmersion while exploring Arno’s memories. Aidan's suspicions about him being afflicted by the bleeding effect were growing stronger. Aidan decided to encourage him to draw something else other than illustrations of everything he was experiencing in the animus. However, Robert kept on drawing and illustrating his handbook to the point that he even started making notes in which he admitted feeling the same way as Arno felt about everything. Some time later, Aidan became aware of a card gambling game that was spreading within the building among the employees, called “Pharaoh” which was in fact an old card game played in France in the 17th century, leading Aidan to think that it was no other than Robert who taught the employees how to play it. He warned Robert that he was eager to know that he was enjoying the project and appreciated the shared knowledge to the other employees, but given the rate at which he mastered the game, he was clearly suffering from the bleeding effect, thus meaning Aidan’s suspicions were right in the first place. After his warning, he urged Robert to keep the gambling for the animus. Unfortunately for Robert's gambling passion, Mélanie Lemay notified the employees that any gambling game among them with no other goal than entertainment was not allowed and subject of penalties subsequently banning all chance games, as many employees started to complain about Robert to the company, believing that he was using company information to cheat and win over the rest of the staff.[93]
  • July 3: Robert delivered his first report called “Childhood through Imprisonment". Aidan commended him about his thorough work and detailed report as well as other side notes made to highlight the customs of the time period, but also warned about forming a too personal attachment to Arno’s life and emotions, reminding him that he was Robert Fraser and not the other way around. As he was venturing deeper into the memories it was becoming difficult for him to keep the two personalities separated, Aidan trying to remedy the problem supplied Robert with information on the Assassin Order tainted by Abstergo Entertainment, hoping to prevent him to empathize with them, hopefully decreasing his attachment to Arno.[93]
  • July 4-10: As the days of investigation progressed, Fraser finished compiling his second report “Imprisonment through apprenticeship” analyzing even more in depth the feelings and ideals of Arno. Aidan finally informed him that he had the Bleeding effect and that he arranged a meeting with Dr. Victoria Bibeau, to make sure that he was in optimal condidtion between sessions, as the memories he was relieving were full of interesting information on the Assassins and their customs and they needed his full potential to separate Arno’s mind from his, so he could continue his investigation. The same afternoon of the meeting with Bibeau, she wrote a report and sent it to Aidan, in which she informed on Fraser’s condition, detailing how albeit having passed the bleeding effect with negative results and not showing the classic symptoms, he was clearly having a hard time keeping distances with his project, believing himself to be Arno at some points, as he also thought he underwent Arno’s initiation into the brotherhood causing havoc in Fraser’s mind highlighting that ever since Robert experienced that specific memory something triggered in him. After Aidan received the psychological evaluation report, he informed Mélanie on the matter, which instructed Aidan to keep an eye on Robert as he was their most valuable asset at the moment that was capable of exploiting information on the era.[93]
  • July 11: After his medical evaluations, Robert took the necessary precautions to keep up his work without getting consumed by the Bleeding Effect and continued his research, finally, handing in the first part of his third report called “Arno: Enemies and Allies” which detailed Arno’s pursuit of De La Serre’s murderers and the reunion with Élise. Aidan responded once again with positive feedback and congratulated him about his thorough and highly detailed work, but stressing nonetheless, that Robert could speak to Bibeau whenever he wanted to or when he felt overwhelmed. He also mentioned that the fact of Robert being able to sort out what might and might not trigger him, was already a sign of good progress in terms of rehabilitation. Aidan insisted on the task he had at hand, as it was important information he was getting out of Arno’s memories, also advising him that he must remember that he was relieving memories of people who were long dead and that he must stay focused, as what he was experiencing through the Animus would be essential to the creation of the unbeatable gameplay Abstergo Entertainment wanted to include in their upcoming historical videogames, stating that it was also good to have Élise back in the crosshairs as Arno and Élise reunited under a partnership in that segment of Arno’s memories, mentioning how Abstergo liked to include strong female characters in their games, even more if they were real.[93]
  • July 12: Robert kept on following Victoria's instructions on his designated medical treatment hopefully overcoming his seizures. Over the days, while being at home, Robert wrote some kind of memoir on a note as Victoria told him that it would help him separate his inner self from Arno’s, but while he was writing down his feelings about his current situation, he went out of control and what looked like Arno’s personality took over expressing feelings of anger towards the order of the Assassins as he couldn’t understand why his mentor was killed by one of their own, after that, he started writing in perfect french about how much he loved Élise, and how they should escape the Assassins and Templars alike as their lives weren’t their own.[93]
  • July 14: During Bastille Day, Robert sent an email to Victoria telling her that the flashbacks had struck him again and that it was the worst ones by far. He described how the festivities triggered smells of strawberries and tastes of pastries and also how he could feel every scratched knee, tree climbed and every moment spent with Élise. He also mentioned that Élise was a recurring subject in his dreams, ultimately leading him to break up with his real life girlfriend, Anne. He couldn’t take it anymore, he was totally besotted with Élise. He asked himself whether he should continue on the case, asking Victoria to take him off the program, unless he wanted him to become Arno entirely, highlighting that from time to time he didn’t even know if he was either Robert or Arno himself. He finished his mail by mentioning to Bibeau that if Sages could reincarnate in people why Arno couldn’t, showing a clear state of dementia. After receiving Robert’s email, Victoria worried even more about his case, advising him to take medication she had in stock that might help overcome the flashbacks until they could figure another way to deal with his dementia. Also, Victoria confessed to him that ever since the acknowledgement of the existence of Sages she didn’t know what to think nor believe about the reincarnations, only knowing for sure that Arno’s memories were the main cause of his hallucinations and nothing else according to her medical evalutations.[93]
  • July 18: Robert was somewhat stabilized and resumed his work, right when he was contacted by Mélanie to inform him that the Licensing Division from Abstergo Industries was interested in creating action figures and that the Arno assignment was a source of interest to them. Mélanie wanted to know about Robert’s insights on how they could deal with the designs tasking him to draw some sketches.[93]
  • July 19-28: Victoria wasn’t quite sure if Robert was ready to resume his work and instructed Abstergo to allow him a medical leave of absence. Robert spent a week and a half on recovery under the supervision of Victoria in order to prevent any other seizure until he was ready to be reinstated once again. During his recovery, Robert had the time to cope with his inner self and the personality of Arno, realizing that what Abstergo was doing with the memories of people was inhumane, and that he wasn’t fully on board with it, alongside Victoria Bibeau they decided to have him reinstated back on the program in order to infiltrate Aidan’s office, leak all the documents and files on his research to the Assassins and destroy them all afterwards to slow down Abstergo's progress.[93]
  • July 29: Robert was declared healed of his dementia produced by the bleeding effect and reassigned to the Arno Dorian case, following his return, he wrote a general mail to the Abstergo Staff stating that he was grateful of the genuine concern received by the medical team, as well as his supervisor, Aidan St. Claire, over his mental state during the course of his investigation on Arno’s memories and claiming that he was now clean and able to work at his best for the sake of Abstergo Entertainment development on their new game, inspired by Arno's life.[93]
  • July 30:
    • Aidan greeted Robert back into the staff by sending him an email in which he noted how great it was to see that the week in recovery recommended by Victoria did its part on solving the problem with the Bleeding effect. Once Robert Fraser returned to his workstation, he put his plan of destroying the documents in motion. However, Robert was caught while doing so and subsequently terminated by the Templars. On Victoria’s side, she pleaded misguided ignorance and thanks to her numerous friends in Abstergo who vouched for her, successfully convinced the Templars that she did what she did because she truly believed it was the right thing to do at the time. She was subsequently offered to join their cause and became a member of the Templar Order.[93]
    • Upon Fraser’s termination, Mélanie ordered Aidan to recover what was left from the files to give to Templar initiate Percy Westcreek, an employee from the Abstergo Archival Department for him to review and to help finish Arno’s genetic memories where Robert left off. Afterwards, Aidan was also terminated as the Templars thought it was unacceptable that an incident like Frasier's act of sabotage could happen under his watch. Percy was curiously enough one of the few individuals that possessed the Eagle Vision, so Mélanie would sometimes pass him some artifacts to analyze them such as the Chalice of Initiation of the French Brotherhood of Assassins and the recovered watch from Arno himself. Eventually, Percy finally encountered the Sage and Grand Templar Master François-Thomas Germain on the 21rst of January 1793 at King Louis XVI's execution, which granted him a promotion amidst the Templar ranks as well as the title of Journeyman which allowed him full access to a document containing classified information such as the ISU research and technology and Abstergo’s Project Phoenix. Once Percy had finished reading the full document, he was made aware of Abstergo’s true intentions upon finding the remains of the sage: to recover them before the Assassins.[93]
  • July 31-August: Thanks to Percy’s swift and methodic work on the Arno Dorian Case as well as the advantage of his Eagle Vision which helped accomplish his work,  Mélanie provided Percy with a trip on an Abstergo Entertainment private jet to investigate the French Assassins' hideout underneath the Sainte-Chapelle, hoping that Percy's Eagle Vision would help him discover some secrets others might have missed. Sometime later, Percy was assigned to investigate Fraser’s apartment in which using his Eagle Vision he discovered a set of fingerprints that belonged to an individual known as “Bishop” which was tied to the Assassins, meaning that they were on the same tracks as Asbtergo and that possibly they already had the information they needed. Nevertheless, all the work done by Percy was enough to be noticed by Alan Rikkin himself and after an unanimous vote he was inducted officially into the Templar order, and was assigned as replacement of Aidan St. Claire’s post as Helix Project Coordinator, explaining that he had to be terminated due to his incompetence that caused the massive leak of information on the Dorian Case.[93]
  • August 6: Mélanie Lemay called Álvaro Gramática to inform him of some periodic attempts by outside sources to access their storage servers, where they kept the helix memories for further analysis that had struck Abstergo Montreal’s facility, and that in light of recent events, it was crucial that they had proper countermeasures to protect their data on their research as their only option as of then, was to shut down the servers in order to isolate the hackers and flush them out of their network. However, Álvaro advised not to worry about these grouped attacks as they were mere decoys for them not to focus in the right intruders. Álvaro sent out Violet D’acosta to help her secure their servers installing a new proprietary system that was able to detect and flush out rogue divers from the systems and protect them from any other attacks. However, albeit being reassured, Mélanie did not quite understand the endgoal behind the attacks. Álvaro then proceeded to explain that, in fact, the attackers were infiltrating Helix to sequence genetic memories just as they were doing for their own research, so it was imperative that violence should be used if necessary to maintain national security. Mélanie, committed to the cause as she was, agreed.[23]
  • August 21: Violet Da Costa informed Mélanie Lemay that their new security team installed at Abstergo Montreal to monitor the recent cyber attacks, discovered a huge amount of unauthorized data packs entering and leaving the Helix Servers. Violet outlined how they were just going to enter Beta version for Helix the previous week from that moment, but that this was an indicator of something troubling: That anyone could infiltrate the servers or communicate through them without prior authorization. Obviously, this was a problem, so, after some digging, they figured out how the attackers managed to get in and how they’d use to communicate between each other. Violet’s team pulled some information out of those packs and discovered a conversation of two entities that talked about Humanity and control over the world, leaving everyone in the room troubled.[23]
  • October 5: On behalf of what was happening around the world, Shaun Hastings and Rebbeca Crane were always working to come up with new ways of helping the brotherhood. In order to better understand the origins of their enemy, The Templars, Shaun volunteered to delve into his genetic memories to explore various patrilineal and matrilineal lines into the past focusing on the 9th, 10th and 11th century in search of Assassins and/ or Templars in his bloodline. The research lasted for seven sessions over three weeks starting on the 5th of October.[2]
  • October 13: Gavin Banks alongside Galina Voronina finally made their move on the Abstergo Laboratory in Paris where the Templars had John Standish’s body and the original Shroud of Eden they were using to boost the progress on the Phoenix Project, leading a team of assassins to the facility to destroy them both. Sigma Team was dispatched to counter the Assassins, resulting in a harsh pursuit across the country all the way to La Rochelle where the Altaïr II was waiting for them, Sigma Team was ambushed and quickly outnumbered. Sorkin, a survivor from 2012’s Florence raid was stabbed seven times by Galina Voronina before the Assassins could make their escape, leaving Sigma Team no option but to retreat.[52]
  • October: During the attack led by Gavin and his assassins, Álvaro was critically injured by the blast of a grenade tossed by Shaun Hastings. However, the Shroud of Eden managed to heal him for one last time, Consus, the precursor entity that lived in the tissue of the shroud, revived him. Álvaro spoke with it before it faded away, thanking him and telling him goodbye. The original Shroud of Eden had lost its power and was now a simple piece of fancy looking cloth.[1]
  • October 20: Shaun and Rebecca discovered that one of Shaun's ancestors named Alrek Thorvaldson had in his possession a wooden plank that had a carving of Thor’s Hammer on it, which was without a doubt an ISU relic. Alrek was at some point captured and sold as a slave escaping his captivity 10 years later and settling down in Jutland losing the whereabouts of such plank in the process. Shaun grew somewhat irritated about the failure of their research but kept on a good spirit, proposing that they could explore the memories of his grandfather to “Give a Nazi a proper bollocking”.[2]
  • October 27: Mélanie Lemay called Álvaro Gramática to inform him that the previous group that hacked into Helix two months ago attacked again. Álvaro proceeded to ask what the intruders had stolen, but apparently nothing was taken out of their servers, all the files had just been scanned as a result of a massive data sweep. Mélanie was concerned that Erudito was responsible for this but Álvaro denied it as everything that had been scanned in the first attack would have already been spread in the media or publicly posted online, so he discarded them. She then suggested John Standish’s group, the Instruments of the first will, but Álvaro also denied the eventuality as they were still low in numbers at that time, and too fractured to coordinate such attacks. Mélanie, stressed out, asked who could have breached their servers, he confessed that he had his suspicions but did not know yet, but that in the meantime, she should get someone to fast track the memories of Arno Dorian to check if they had missed something as he was worried that the Assassins knew something they didn’t. Mélanie agreed, reassuring Álvaro that she would get someone on the matter immediately.[23]
  • October 28-30: Following the escape of Gavin and his Assassins after the destruction of Abstergo’s Lab in Paris, Laetitia England requested a meeting with Juhani Otso Berg for a debriefing. She wanted to know how a top secret lab such as the one in Paris was discovered and subsequently destroyed by just a few Assassins. Berg expressed his frustration and outlined that she should have listened to him at the time she decided to disband his team to send him on a fool’s errand around the globe in search of relics and that if they hadn't let the Assassins regroup for a year none of that would have happened, stating also that the group of Assassins which raided the lab weren’t simple assassin brawlers. It was none other than Gavin Banks, a long time enemy among Templar ranks well known for his strategy and information network around the world, thus, it was a mistake to have underestimated him. Laetitia admitted her wrongs and authorized the reassignment of Sigma Team but that the research for Sages was still a priority. Berg asked for Violet Da Costa to be reinstated back with him, but she wasn’t available as she was in Montréal trying to figure out how to stop the hackers interested in the Helix servers and Juno. Berg requested to be transferred alongside her so he could ensure her security if any other strike had to occur. Laetitia granted him his request and Berg left for Montréal to ensure the Building’s protection and to protect Mélanie Lemay’s leads on potential Sages.[52]
  • Early November:
    • William Miles took over the leadership of the Assassins once again, he designated a woman nicknamed The Enabler, a.k.a “Bishop” among the Initiates, to be the official handler of the Initiates and their worldwide network. After Shaun’s callout for help, the Initiates allied with them and started working together as a whole. Bishop was put in charge of helping them synchronize genetic memories from Abstergo Industries cloud server, monitor the Assassins by assigning them wherever the Brotherhood needed them to be sent out, and acting against the Templars if necessary. Bishop spotted among her scannings a new Helix user that was working in Abstergo, that had just completed a set of memories involving a Sage and Grand Master Templar from the 14th century Jacques de Molay, drawing her attention to this individual, thus contacting him instantly, hacking his interface. Bishop explained to the Helix user that he was being manipulated by Abstergo to sift through memories for their own benefit, following which she asked him to experience an unsequenced set of Arno Dorian's memories as an introduction to the Assassins and Templars to show him irrefutable proof that Abstergo was indeed a cover up for their true intentions on the world. Once the Initiate had completed the first sequence, Bishop offered him a chance to join the Assassins.
    • After the Initiate accepted her offer, Bishop sent him a video file of Abstergo's Phoenix Project, explaining that the Templars were searching for Sages both in the present and the past so they could sequence a full Precursor genome. The Initiate was then tasked with exploring Arno's memories. In this way, the Assassins hoped to find out where the remains of the Sage François Germain had ended up and recover them before the Templars could, as it was reported by Abstergo that Arno crossed paths with said sage at some point in his life. After completing certain sets of memory sequences, Abstergo began performing a server sweep as they were on high alert due to the recent attacks by hackers in order to flush out any possible intruder or rogue element, forcing the Initiate's avatar to flee through Helix rifts to avoid being detected, transporting him into other historical periods in Paris. Eventually, the Initiate discovered that Arno buried the remains of François-Thomas Germain in the Parisian catacombs leaving Bishop satisfied with the results of the Initiate’s investigation as the fact that Germain’s body was within the catacombs all these years meant that the bones would be too degraded for Abstergo to collect genetic memory data from them. After awarding the Initiate for his thorough work, Bishop told him that she would stay in touch with him for further assignments, but until then, she urged him to continue searching Arno's memories for any information that could aid the Assassins. [23]
    • Sometime later, the Initiate had managed to access an additional sequence of memories that weren’t part of the pack Bishop had passed him. When accessing them, he triggered a glitch in the system that locked them out of Helix alerting Bishop. However, she was able to stabilize the connection, allowing the Initiate to continue his work and eventually discovered that in the Early 1880’s Arno discovered an Apple of Eden underneath the Saint-Denis Basilica and sent it out to Egypt where it would be guarded by the Brotherhood.[23]
    • Shortly after the arrival of Juhani Otso Berg at Abstergo Entertainment joining Violet Da Costa at her assigned workstation, a Helix research analyst nicknamed “Numbskull” triggered a virus while exploring the genetic memories of colonial Templar Shay Patrick Cormac. The virus ejected all of the Employees from their animi and had to be escorted by Violet through an evacuation procedure overseen by Mélanie Lemay. Once the building was cleared, Violet insisted on destroying the memories as they were the source of the malware, but Berg proposed to study them instead, recruiting the analyst responsible for the release of the virus in the building’s computer systems to fix them. Violet wanted the analyst to help her reboot the Helix software from the bunker so they could access Shay Cormac’s memories, but the access elevator to the underground levels were also shut down as the virus had spread through the totality of the building’s systems.[52]
    • Over the next five days, Violet oversaw the analyst reviewing of the memory sequences that were available, as well as simultaneously performing maintenance on the rest of the systems throughout the facility in order to flush the virus out.[52]
    • The analyst was able to explore Cormac's genetic memories during several sessions, however, the animus kicked him out from time to time due to the rogue files damaged by the virus, when this would happen, the Analyst would go on repairing colleagues' computers and tablets left in the offices by the panick that ensued as the evacuation took place, thus, restoring the majority of the devices overtime. After a week, Violet and the Analyst were able to completely restore the Helix servers. After completing their task, Mélanie Lemay, Berg and Violet Da Costa invited the analyst into the CCO’s office where they congratulated him for his thorough work on the Shay Cormac case. At that moment, Berg told the analyst that his research served them well as they could send a powerful message to the Assassins by uploading Shay’s memories to their network, stating that when pressed, what an Assassin truly wants isn't freedom, but order. It was then revealed to the analyst that Mélanie, Violet and Berg were all members of the Templar Order. From there, the analyst was given a choice to join the Templars, or refuse and be killed by Berg to ensure that no one outside the Templar Order knew of their continued existence.[52]
    • Following the upload of Cormac’s video file in the Assassin network under Berg’s command, reports of assassins emptying a few safehouses, shutting down servers and installing new firewalls started to emerge, resulting in the evacuation of the infiltrated Initiates within Abstergo Entertainment, which, Berg had already spotted, and had been monitoring his communications with other Initiates as well as their desperate way to cover their tracks and escape, eliminating them before they could exfiltrate and regroup. After the threats at Abstergo Entertainment were finally neutralized, Violet and Berg were on stand-by for new orders and the possible reinstatement of Sorkin in their team, as the duo had the knowledge that he survived to his injuries but was still in rehabilitation.[52]
  • November 2: Melanie Lemay lamented to Álvaro Gramática the analyst's departure, as it would have been skilled enough to explore Arno Dorian's genetic memories. Since the analyst's departure, Abstergo had trouble finding researchers who were able to handle the memories of individuals with a high count of First Civilization DNA.[23]
  • November 5: Eric Cooper texted Emmett Leary to inform him that he had set up a headquarters in Paris, and were waiting on him to connect to the servers of a local Helix hub.[17]
  • December 1: Álvaro Gramática, still in shock due to the massive loss of data caused by the destruction of the lab in Paris, the complete degradation of John Standish’s body as well as the original Shroud of eden, tried to organize a new initiative that would accelerate the gathering of data by merging  industry and Entertainment, therefore, Helix, in the lives of everyone. From wristbands to healthcare clinics that would allow them to take samples of every individual that interacts with them, Álvaro was convinced that this was the only way to hopefully research and acquire descendants with a high ISU DNA concentration.[1]

2015

  • Early January: Following Álvaro Gramática’s plan to merge Helix and the everyday life of the people, Abstergo Industries in collaboration with MysoreTech launched the Animus VR in the US at an affordable price and in many different versions, in order to target a wider range of consumers. In this way, the already important number of Abstergo products in the average american house would double within the year accompanied by the various healthcare products such as Herne+ and bodybands that would be sold in new clinics installed around the world to provide them.[1][14]
  • September 25: Isabelle Ardant visited Álvaro Gramática at his facility in Australia, main base of operations for the Phoenix Project, to inform him of new findings related to a possible second shroud of eden that would be located somewhere in London. She proceeded to explain that their findings a couple of years ago about the Kooh-i-noor made them unearth the genetic line of Arbaaz Mir who was an active Assassins during the 1840’s. Álvaro was confused as to what that information had to do with the obtention of a new shroud, to which Isabelle brought up a file in which the genetic line exposed that Arbaaz’s son, Jayadeep Mir, was active in London in the 1860’s and was assigned to help the Assassin twins Jacob and Evie Frye look after another Shroud and secure it before the Templar Crawford Starrick could, Grand Master of the british rite, at the time. Álvaro was overjoyed by her findings and immediately demanded Juhani Otso Berg and his team to be assigned on the obtention of the artifact.[1]
  • October 4: Isabelle Ardant's calendar had her birthday marked on it for celebration.[1]
  • October 10: One of the new clinics installed in New York City as part of the initiative led by Álvaro Gramática, received the visit from a woman and her 10 year old child, which turned out to be the illegitimate son of Desmond Miles, Elijah. Isabelle Ardant immediately reported to Gramática as she was in desperate need to prove herself to Abstergo, wanting to get the breakthrough of her career. Isabelle informed Álvaro that when the mother walked her son in the clinic, the boy’s DNA not only revealed that he was Desmond’s child but that he also was a Sage. Álvaro expressed his excitement to Isabelle stating that he wanted to cut the boy to pieces as he had done before with subject 17 in order to expand his research, but Isabelle opposed herself to this claiming that it was her project and allowing such treatment would be inhumane. Instead, she proposed it would be better to place him in an Animus for the next 50 years to come, highlighting the massive amount of Data they could extract from his genetic memories. Álvaro was somewhat irritated at the idea of not having him on his table of operations, but Isabelle’s insights suggested that it would be better to let the child grow and have him monitored until the time to capture him was due.[1]
  • October 15: Isabelle Ardant arranged a meeting with Mitsuko Nakamura, director of research of Abstergo Industries' Lineage Discovery and Acquisition, to inform her about her project of monitoring Elijah to subsequently use him in the future, putting him inside an animus to exploit his genetic data, as his heritage was one of the most unique high isu-concentrated DNA Abstergo ever recorded. Proposing to wait until he was mature enough for his body to resist the effects of the animus and study his DNA for the next 50 years to come.[1]
  • October 17: Alan Rikkin, grand master of the templar order and CEO of Abstergo Industries at the time, summoned Isabelle at a conference as he had heard of her new initiative. Isabelle, hungry for renown as she was, saw this as her ultimate opportunity to stand out once and for good, presenting her project and obtaining her long desired approval from Alan Rikkin and the board, charging Isabelle to handle the research and acquisition of the new Shroud of Eden and monitoring of the descendant of Subject 17.[1]
  • October: Having observed a sudden rise of Templar presence in London, Bishop decided to investigate calling in Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane to help her.[1]
  • October 24:
    • Bishop dispatched Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane to Isabelle’s office in London to gather information on pieces of Eden in order to identify what Abstergo was looking for. The duo arrived at the office and hacked Isabelle’s personal computer revealing meetings, plannings for new projects and ancestry lines with the names of all the existing assassins in the UK. While Rebecca was scanning her files, she noticed that Isabelle was having a meeting later that evening in her office. Rebecca saw this as an opportunity to assassinate Isabelle and decided alongside Shaun to go off-books and take their chances. They rigged the place with explosives to secure an escape route in case they needed to flee and waited to ambush her.[1]
    • Several hours later, Isabelle arrived and called Álvaro Gramática to inform him that Sigma Team was called in to search for the Shroud of Eden and that she would inform him whenever they obtained results. Right when she ended the call, Shaun and Rebecca emerged from their hiding spots and confronted Isabelle. However, Sigma team operatives Juhani Otso Berg and Violet Da Costa intercepted the two assassins before they could make their move. Isabelle ordered Berg to apprehend them but Rebecca activated the explosives causing an explosion shattering the office's main window allowing them to jump, performing a leap of faith, thus, escaping the complex. [1]
    • After escaping Isabelle’s Office, Shaun and Rebecca headed to a secret hideout where they would rest and recover, once there, Bishop contacted them, informing Rebecca that the data she had downloaded hours earlier contained the genetic lines of two individuals named Jacob and Evie Frye, two Assassin twins that operated in Victorian London in the 1860’s and at some point got in contact with another Shroud of Eden that had been hidden in London ever since they recovered it. Shaun stated that they would need backup to overcome Sigma Team as they were alone. Bishop reassured them that she would send help and that an Initiate was already synchronizing with the memories by the time they managed to download them, so they only had to focus on securing the Shroud once it was located by the Initiate. However, after she had checked on the hideout, she contacted the Initiate to instruct him that he needed to double up his work as the attempt at assassinating Isabelle compromised the Assassin anonymity in London, therefore, Bishop wanted to be one step ahead of Abstergo at all times.[1]
  • October 25-26: Overnight, Bishop checked upon the duo to see if everything was alright and noticed Shaun was still awake, surprised, she asked him what was wrong. Shaun confessed that he was still grieving over the loss of Desmond and felt bad for the hostile persona Shaun always displayed everytime Desmond was around him because of jealousy. However, his confession was abruptly stopped when Galina Voronina made her entry behind Shaun’s back, scaring him. After a few formalities, Galina instructed Shaun to rest as they had a tough task ahead of them.[1]
  • October 27-31:
    • The following days after Galina’s arrival, the Initiate finally managed to discover the location of the Shroud through the memories he was tasked to explore. The artifact was hidden inside a vault under Buckingham Palace. Bishop dispatched the team to retrieve the artifact before the Templars, but Isabelle was already on site with Sigma operatives. Rebecca, baffled by the setback the presence of Templars represented, wanted to abort the mission. However, Shaun proposed that it was the perfect time to get rid of Sigma and retrieve the artifact at the same time. Galina agreed and tossed a smoke grenade into the vault as Sigma Team and Isabelle were about to leave with the Shroud, causing a distraction. Galina engaged in hand to hand combat with Juhani Otso Berg, while Shaun used his shock blade to assassinate Isabelle taking advantage of the fight’s havoc. Berg ordered Violet Da Costa to take away the Shroud and secure it, though, before leaving with the shroud she waved her gun at Shaun in an attempt to kill him, but Rebecca stood across the trajectory of the bullet in order to save him, thus, taking the shot instead. Galina managed to knock out Berg and was about to finish him but was forced to retreat as a Templar strike team arrived and opened fire over her. There, she learned about Álvaro’s true intentions with the newly acquired piece of eden: Recreate from scratch a fully functional precursor body. Álvaro explained that it would be possible as the shroud heals and reconstructs tissue on a cellular level, so, folding it over precursor tissue or DNA would slowly but effectively end up regenerating a precursor being. Violet handed over the Shroud to Gramática, and as she saw him go away to report to Alan Rikkin about the obtention of the Shroud, Violet summoned Juno through a computer to inform her that she had delivered the Shroud as she asked, but that she was scared for her. Juno greeted Violet stating that she served her well and that she was ought to save all of humanity, reassuring her that there was no reason whatsoever to fear anything.[1]
