The Saint Hilarion Castle was a major Templar base in Kyrenia. It is from there that the twins Shahar and Shalim governed the populace of the city during the Templar occupation in 1192.[1]

In the castle's courtyard, there is a statue of a man wielding a staff adorned with the Templar cross. The statue likely depicts Saint Hilarion, hinting at his possible Templar affiliations.
