New Fluoride
New Fluoride was a synthetic drug developed by Stephanie Chiu's father and distributed by Abstergo Industries that aimed to improve the quality of drinkable water.
History[edit | edit source]
In early 2012, New Fluoride was introduced into the water supplies of various settlements in China, causing significant damage to the local population, and in a small town in the United States. The U.S. operation was partially exposed when a young activist by the name of Susan Drayton broke into the water supply of her home town, Prince George, and stole a sample of the drug, with the intention of leaking it to the press.[1]
Although Susan was apprehended and jailed, news of Abstergo's operation in Prince George were still released.[1] Following this, documents were leaked on the 'Fluoride Enhancement Studies', resulting in Abstergo being placed under investigation by the U.S. government. As a result, the company was forced to try and hasten the launch of Eye-Abstergo to 21 December 2012, in order to avoid the expected asset freeze.[2]
By 2014, Abstergo started working with the Food and Drug Administration to organize a relaunch of the New Fluoride project.[3]
