Leila Marino (died 2007) was an employee of Abstergo Industries until her suspicious death. Supposedly a suicide, the circumstances surrounding her were unknown to all but a few, and the coroner's report into her death became classified by Abstergo.[1]

Biography[edit | edit source]

Career and death[edit | edit source]

At some point prior to 2007, Leila became close friends with Lucy Stillman and became employed at Abstergo Industries, specifically at their Rome facility. In September 2007, Leila died under mysterious circumstances.[1]

Legacy[edit | edit source]

Five years later, in September 2012, Leila's close friend Lucy Stillman made several attempts to discover the truth behind Marino's demise by e-mailing several Abstergo employees, including the CEO Alan Rikkin and her supervisor, Dr. Warren Vidic.[2] The only explanation that she received was that Marino had committed suicide over her relationship with an individual named Neumann.[1] Lucy's email correspondence was later acquired and compiled by the hacker group Initiates, and uploaded onto their private network.[2]
