The Brahman V.R. headset

The Brahman V.R. is an entertainment product based on Animus technology, released in India by MysoreTech.

History[edit | edit source]

In late 2013, Abstergo Industries made a deal with MysoreTech to release the Animus on the Indian market, under the name Brahman V.R. It functioned like any other Animus, except it uploaded the genetic memory of any of its users to the Abstergo Cloud. As such, Abstergo's primary goal was to find the memories of individuals related to the Koh-i-Noor, specifically Arbaaz Mir and Pyara Kaur.[1]

One Brahman V.R. was used by MysoreTech employee Jot Soora to explore the memories of his ancestor Raza Soora. After he brought it home, his fiancée Monima Das used it to view the memories of her own ancestors, unknowingly informing Abstergo of her genetic ties to Arbaaz and Pyara. Meanwhile, Jot, ashamed of his heritage, lied about being a descendant of Arbaaz to his co-worker Siobhan Dhami who, unbeknownst to him, was a member of the Assassins.[1]

Siobhan and her brother Jasdip subsequently abducted Jot and strapped him to their own Brahman V.R. in an attempt to view Arbaaz's memories and discover the location of the Koh-i-Noor diamond. However, they were unsuccessful and realized that Jot had lied about his bloodline.[1]

Later, after Jasdip rescued Jot following his and Monima's abduction by Abstergo, which resulted in Monima's death, the two traveled to an Assassin hideout where Dinesh had also set up a Brahman V.R. Mourning his fiancée's death, Jot used the Brahman to view Monima's memories, revealing to the Assassins that she was the descendant of Arbaaz they had been looking for. The Assassins subsequently downloaded these memories onto Jot's phone and deleted them from the Abstergo Cloud to deceive the Templars into thinking they had hit a dead end.[1]

In 2018, the Assassin Layla Hassan used a Brahman V.R. headset as part of the Animus HR-8.5 she co-developed with Victoria Bibeau to explore the memories of the misthios Kassandra.[2]
