Carpe Diem was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Basim Ibn Ishaq in 2020 through the Portable Animus HR-8.5, in which a vision of one of Odin's memories could be seen.
Description
Havi found a crying dwarf near a dead body.
Dialogue
Havi was traveling until he heard cries near a house.
- Liv: (weeping) We'll never get to watch another sunrise together. (weeping) Curse this damn roof and its loose tiles! My poor, sweet Bo!
Havi spoke with the crying lady.
- Havi: Hey! What is it? Why the wailing?
- Liv: It's, it's... (weeping)
- Havi: Speak freely.
- Liv: My beloved Bo. I never got to say goodbye! He was fixing the roof, when he slipped and fell, and now he's ... he's...
- Havi: I... I see. Perhaps it's not too late to help him.
Havi gave Liv some space.
- Havi: There's nothing I can do for him now. But... these new abilities... Perhaps a way to help will reveal itself, and I can return.
After a while, Havi returned and used the Hugr-Rip. Using the Power of Rebirth, with the Instant Horde enhancement, Havi revived Bo momentarily.
- Bo: What in the blazes... I'm... alive?! I am alive! Oh thank you, thank you, stranger! Haha! What luck to have this second chance! Never again shall I take even a moment of my time for granted!
- Liv: Darling, I−
- Bo: And never again shall I step out onto that perilous roof of mine! Repairs?! Bah, there's more to life than maintaining tiles! Look out world, here I come!
After the ability faded, Bo immediately fell dead again.
- Liv: Waaah!
- Havi: Um... there-there.
- Liv: But... I... never... got... to say... goodbye! Waaaah!
- Havi: Yes, well, I'll... I'll see what I can do.
Havi replenished his Hugr and used the same power once more. Bo rose again.
- Bo: I'm... I'm...?!
- Havi: You're alive, yes. Now shut up. She has something to tell you.
- Bo: Oh. Right... and uh, who would you be, miss?
- Liv: Don't you recognize me, Bo? It's Liv, your love!
- Bo: I've, err, never laid eyes upon you miss, lovely as you are.
- Liv: You must have hit your head when you died! Have you forgotten our passion!? The life we built in this house? Look, Bo, where did you hide the treasure? Uh, our treasure.
- Bo: Treasure...? What treasure?
Once more, the ability faded as Bo fell dead again.
- Liv: Waaah!
- Havi: Would you give it a rest!
Havi refueled his Hugr and resurrected Bo again.
- Bo: Why do you keep bringing me back?
- Havi: To satisfy my curiousity. You. Do you know her?
- Bo: Never met her before today.
- Havi: You. What is the meaning of all this?
- Liv: Uh...
- Bo: Where is my house key? You robbed me when I was dead!
- Liv: Fine! Yes! When I saw you fall, I thought, finally, I can take the valuables I know you've got stashed in your house! Maybe the house too! But with all the Muspels around, you can keep your stupid key! Good day!
- Havi: Ugh. Leave me in peace, the pair of you!
Liv's plan failed as she walked away, while Bo was finally allowed to die in peace. Havi caught up with Liv and spoke to her.
- Havi: Not so fast. Hand over the key.
- Liv: Fine!
- Havi: You're clearly resourceful. Do you know the Crystal Caves overlooking Uldar? There's shelter there. Other dwarves. You'll be safe.
- Liv: Then I'll be on my way. Here's your bloody key. And... thanks, I suppose.
Havi left Liv and unlocked Bo's house with the key. Inside, Eivor found and opened a chest and retrieved a platinum ingot.
Outcome
Havi solved the conundrum between Liv and Bo, as Liv failed to steal Bo's personal effects after his death.
