Dakodonou was a member of the Saint-Domingue Brotherhood of Assassins.
Sold into slavery at fourteen, he kept his beliefs and desires to create a better life for his kin a secret. After escaping captivity, he made contact and was trained by the Brotherhood, whom he later left in order to educate himself in the ways of Haitian voodoo, and to carry on his true calling, the creation of a new world.[1]
Becoming a houngan, he rose from being a houngan sur pwen, a junior priest, to a houngan asogwe, a high priest. At some point in his life, Dakodonou joined a Maroon society, with which he would participate in plantation raids.[1]
In 2013, his genetic memories were used as an Animi Avatar by the entertainment branch of the Templar company Abstergo Industries, to influence the general public via the Animus game console, under the title of the Shaman.[1]
