Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich (1904 – 1942) was an SS Obergruppenführer and commander of the Einsatzgruppen during the Nazi regime who was one of the main minds behind the Holocaust.[1] Also known by the moniker of "the man with the iron heart", Heydrich was the target of an assassination attempt by the Czechoslovak soldiers Jan Kubiš and Jozef Gabčík in 1942,[2] managing to survive the assault only long enough to die in a hospital bed in Prague.[3]
