Fukue Island (福江島, Fukue-jima) is the largest and southernmost of the Gotō Islands in southern Japan. In 1543, one of Wang Zhi's pirate ships prepared to return to China while hosting an expedition of Portuguese Templars and transporting crates of matchlock arquebuses.
