Mehmed Demir

Mehmed Demir (died 1917) was a captain in the Ottoman Empire's army and leader of an Instruments of the First Will group active during World War I. The Instruments under Demir sought to restore the long-lost Isu hierarchy by conjuring the Isu Juno in a secret vault buried under the Siwa Oasis where she was believed to be resting.

Biography

In 1917, he led an expedition to Egypt, hiring Senussi mercenaries for protection and located the vault. Knowing he was followed by a group bent on his destruction, he prepared an ambush in the underground chamber, surprising the British Templar Jeremiah Davies and his allies. Their victory was short-lived, as the group managed to hold their attackers back long enough for Jeremiah to prepare explosive charges and collapse the cavern with the blast.
