Evelyn O'Connel was an English archeologist and explorer known for her courage and resourcefulness that was active during World War I.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
Evelyn O'Connel is an allusion to a character of the same name from the 1999 remake of The Mummy franchise played originally by Rachel Weisz and later by Maria Bello, whom this character's art more closely resembles. In an early draft of the 1999 film, Evelyn was going to be to be the daughter of George Herbert, 5th Earl of Carnarvon before her background was reworked to be less on the nose.[2]
