Nagahama Black Powder was a virtual representation of one of Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.

Description

Yasuke travelled to Nagahama to stop the Shinbakufu from sabotaging the city's teppo production.

Dialogue

Yasuke explores the city, overhearing a pair of ashigaru shooters.

• Ashigaru Shooter 1: So we are better off guarding the Teppo Factory, right?
• Ashigaru Shooter 2: Yes! No marching over mountains, sleeping in the woods, or getting shot at by the bandits.
• Ashigaru Shooter 1: But all that gunpowder in the basement. It makes me nervous.
• Ashigaru Shooter 2: You're more likely to die in a battle than an explosion.
• Ashigaru Shooter 1: I suppose. Well, back to work.

Yasuke passed by a resident talking to a blacksmith.

• Man: Pardon me, but do you sell teppo?
• Blacksmith: Do I look like a gunsmith? I am a swordsmith. Sword. Smith. My blades are masterpieces! Each is hand crafted for only the most skilled hands!
• Man: Deepest apologies, sir!
• Blacksmith: Bah. Never mind. The Teppo Factory is just up the road.

After a short while, Yasuke found the heavily guarded Teppo Factory. He managed to sneak inside and eavesdropped on the gunsmiths.

• Gunsmith: Another work order from Azuchi Castle! How will we sleep?
• Apprentice: On a bed of gold.
• Gunsmith: I would prefer silk. Back to work!

In the working area, Yasuke found a note.

Shiotsu Convoy Note

Convoy Master,
Once you have completed your tasks with the Teppo Factory, your presence is required in Shiotsu.
Commandeer the luxury barge and arrive in time for the scheduled meeting with the others.
No hint of our role in the bombing of Nagahama must be revealed.

• Yasuke: The traitors have hired a ship in Shiotsu. I must tell Naoe.

In another working area, Yasuke found another note.

Teppo Factory Note

Journeyman
Since the death of the great lord, the old orders have been cancelled. Work on these instead.
* 400 teppo: Lord Hideyoshi at Nagahama
* 200 teppo: Lord Niwa Nagahide at his Wakasa estate
* 80 teppo: Lord Takeda Motoaki in Wakasa
* 40 teppo: Gamo Morinari in Gamo District
* 4 steel firing pins: Rokkaku Katsuhime at Kōga Villaga
* 3 bronze dolls: Lady Oichi at Azuchi Castle
* 1 silver dog collar: Akechi Kagemitsu at Sakamoto Castle

In a guarded area, Yasuke looted another note.

The Nagahama Plot

Convoy Master,
The armies of Nobunaga would be nothing without the gunsmiths of Nagahama. We must not let such a valuable resource fall into enemy hands.
Deliver the shipment and place it in the basement. Use the Horokubiya bomb to ignite the cache and destroy the factory.
Do not inform The Wheel's faction about your actions. That faction prefers wealth to power. We shall take both.

• Yasuke: The Nagahama Teppo Factory was the jewel in Lord Nobunaga's crown. It gave his men good, cheap weapons. Obviously, the Shinbakufu does not want anyone else to wield that same power. Gunpowder! They will destroy half the town. I better head to the lake.

Yasuke left the factory and headed to the atakebune near the harbor.

• Yasuke: The right ship. Now to find the gunpowder stash.

Yasuke climbed up to the ship's deck and noted its design.

• Yasuke: Impressive. But I have seen waves I am not certain it would withstand.

Yasuke soon caught the attention of the soldiers onboard.

• Convoy Master: Boarders! Rōnin are boarding the ship!

After eliminating the convoy master and the guards, Yasuke found the gunpowder shipment in jars at the ship's bow.

• Yasuke: They made no effort to hide their smuggled gunpowder. Now to find a spark to start this fire.

Yasuke looked around for an explosive jar and placed it near the shipment. He then fire at the jar, causing the shipment to explode, and jumped off into the waters below.

• Yasuke: That was fun! I have done what I must. Now to meet with our league at Shiotsu.

Outcome

Yasuke sabotaged the Shinbakufu's smuggled gunpowder shipment in Ōmi.
