They overheard an elderly man by the dock and approached near him.
Elderly Man:No one touch my boat, you hear? It is mine! If anyone wants to use it, that'll be a million koku of rice! And mackerel! Know what is good for you! Walk away from my boat!
Defying the elderly man's orders, Naoe and Yasuke took the boat and rode out to the lake.
Elderly Man:Eh! (sighs) Bring me back some mackerel?
Naoe and Yasuke rode the boat to Hiruga Bay, passing under an arch under a rock formation.
Naoe:How did this come to be? Did a god carve that arch?
After a short ride, she reached Hiruga Bay, which was heavily guarded by pirates.
Naoe:Hiruga Bay. A perfect spot to remain out of sight. Now to find Samemaru.
After she infiltrated the area, she heard a certain tune.
Naoe:That tune. I've heard it before. At Niwa's Estate.
She overheard some pirates talking.
Pirate Thug 1:How about we trip whoever comes by next? (scoffs) That'd make a fun time.
Pirate Thug 2: (laughs) These people are so easy to intimidate.
She also heard another pirate talking to himself.
Pirate Archer:Deep breaths. Deep breaths and hope no one finds me.
After a short exploration, Naoe recovered a note in one of the huts.

They continued on and found the lair where Samemaru resided in. Outside the hut, they eavesdropped on two pirates.
Pirate Thug 5:Weren't we supposed to ship off the new batch? Where is Samemaru, and where are the captives?
Pirate Archer 2:Last I heard, Samemaru had to leave again. A meeting with someone important.
Pirate Thug 5:We can be important too! Bah. I'm so hungry. Wish I had some of Hong's noodles.
Naoe and Yasuke entered the hut.
Naoe:A nasty lair for a nasty man. A clue might be here.
Naoe read a note on the table.
Stop Being Stubborn

Enough with the petty squabbles. Did I not tell you about the Niwa warehouse? Did your men not extract several valuable goods from there, enabling you to earn coin? Then I do not know why you remain stubborn.
We will talk, in person. Meet me at my estate. You know where it is.

Naoe:The man we are hunting is using Samemaru and his pirates to murder the Niwa clan.
If Naoe finished her search undetected, she commented to herself on this.

If Naoe was detected by any pirate during her search, she commented to herself on this.

If Saifukuji Temple was investigated already, Naoe planned on going after their target next.

Yasuke:This must be where Samemaru commits his crimes. I might find a clue here.
