Ise Sadatame:(wheezes) So it has come to this. Then I suppose all is prepared. When you are ready, we will discuss our plan.
At night, Naoe and Yasuke began their discussion with Sadatame.
Naoe:Explain the plan.
Ise Sadatame:The castle entrance is (wheezes) heavily defended. One will have to fight through to create a distraction. A task most suitable for the samurai, if I may say so.
Ise Sadatame:It would be prudent, then, for the shinobi to quietly make their way to the inner castle gate and open it with they key. I will follow and meet up with the samurai. We will then go to the gate, and all enter together. My brother has a personal guard, so we should proceed with caution.
Yasuke:They will not be more than we can handle.
Ise Sadatame:I believe you, though there is no telling what Sadaoki will do. Perhaps I can... distract him.
Yasuke and Naoe nodded to each other in agreement.
Ise Sadatame:Are we agreed, then?
Naoe:The plan is good. Let's go.
Agreeing to their plan, Yasuke arrived outside the castle entrance.
Yasuke:I need to clear the way for Sadatame to follow.
Yasuke killed the guards at the entrance and entered.
Castle Guard:Intruder! We are under attack!
Yasuke pushed through and cleared the outer courtyard of the guards.
Yasuke:I hope Naoe made it inside the castle.
Meanwhile, Naoe stood ready on a roof outside the castle walls.
Naoe:I need to get to the inner gate, and open it for the other.
Naoe entered the castle through the opening of a broken wall and quietly made her way through the castle, reaching the inner gate.
Naoe:This is the gate. Now to get to the other side.
Naoe climbed up to the other side of the door and unlocked it with Ujimasa's key.
Naoe:That's done. Where are Yasuke and Sadatame?
Back at the outer courtyard, Sadatame arrived at Yasuke's position.
Ise Sadatame:Break the door and I'll lead the way.
Yasuke:Stay close. I will protect you.
Yasuke broke through the door, alerting the soldiers within.
Castle Guard:The intruders are here! Stop them!
Yasuke cleared the area of the guards.
Ise Sadatame: (wheezes) Thank you.
They reached the inner gate, regrouping with Naoe. The two opened the door for Sadatame, who went in with them closing the door behind them. At this moment, Sadatame ran off on his own.
Yasuke:Sadatame! What is he doing?
Naoe:He is going to his brother.
Sadatame ran to Sadaoki infront of the stairs leading to the tenshu and kneeled down.
Ise Sadatame:Sadaoki. Please!
Ise Sadaoki:Get off your knees!
Sadaoki then noticed the arrival of Naoe and Yasuke, who stood from a distance. Sadaoki signaled his men to stand guard.
Ise Sadatame:You do not need Lord Mitsuhide. (wheezes) We can lead our clan with honor again. Together!
Ise Sadaoki:He will be shōgun, and I will stand next to him. Only then will our clan be honored.
Ise Sadatame:You do not (wheezes) mean that.
Ise Sadaoki:You come here grovelling like a beggar, bringing a pair of murdering rōnin with you!
Ise Sadatame:No, brother. (wheezes) They are not my family! You are.
Ise Sadaoki:You are sentimental and weak. You sicken me.
Just then, the thiefGennojo appeared after throwing a flash bomb temporarily stunning the two brothers. Gennojo then took out his tantō slashed Sadatame.
Gennojo:Ha! Got you, dog!
He then turned to Sadaoki, who took out his katana.
Gennojo:Your turn!
As the two clashed, Naoe got up to safer ground while Yasuke drew his katana as well. Meanwhile, Sadaoki blocked Gennojo's attack and pushed him back. Before he could attack, the thief threw another flash bomb and got away. With his opponent nowhere to be found, Sadaoki and his guards turned their attention to Yasuke and Naoe.
Ise Sadaoki:Gut them!
Naoe stood guard on the roof while Yasuke took charge in eliminating Sadaoki.
Yasuke:Sadaoki must not escape.
Yasuke eliminated the guards before clashing with Sadaoki. Yasuke began attacking Sadaoki's armor.
Ise Sadaoki:You're outclassed.
Yasuke:Your words are empty, like your master's.
Yasuke was able to break Sadaoki's armor and land hits on him.
Yasuke:You and Mitsuhide will both die.
Ise Sadaoki:You do not know what you're fighting.
Yasuke got close to defeating Sadaoki.
'Ise Sadaoki:You won't defeat us. It is beyond me.
Yasuke:You are wrong.
After an amount of time fighting, Yasuke defeated and killed Sadaoki. Afterwards, Yasuke watched over Sadatame while Naoe checked on Sadaoki's body.
Ise Sadatame:(wheezes)
At this moment, Gennojo made his return.
Gennojo: (groans) That was a good punch.
Naoe:Where did you come from?
Gennojo:The Ise idiots. They deserved it! Pretty clever, huh?
Naoe:Not that clever. You got the wrong Ise.
Gennojo:Eh! They're as bad as each other. We beat them though. We're good together.
Naoe:I think you're overestimating yourself.
Gennojo:Well, I'm going back to my village to sell the stuff I found. I knew they were dirty rich! Come meet me. We'll have some fun.
Gennojo took his leave while Naoe returned to check on Sadatame with Yasuke.
Ise Sadatame: (groans)
Naoe:Will he live?
Yasuke:The wound is not deadly. It will be another scar to blame on his brother.
Naoe:He almost cost us the fight and got himself killed.
Yasuke:He was trying to save his family. We would both do the same.
