The Samurai Yashiki District was a district located in western Obama in Wakasa, Japan.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe traveled to the district to find and assassinate Shinbakufu member Takeda Motoaki. While in the district, she followed clues to determine his residence. Ultimately, she came across his home and investigated. Inside, she found a list of the Pirate Alliance but also determined Motoaki's intent to dismantle it. Outside, she confronted Motoaki as they discussed the events that transpired, how his clan lost his family and Nochiseyama Castle, and his plan to regain power and control. However, Naoe reminded him of how his use of pirates led to needless bloodless and mayhem. Staunched in his position, Motoaki engaged in a duel with Naoe but he was ultimately defeated.[1]
In his last words, Motoaki only wanted to set things right and asked Naoe to give his biwa to his teacher before succumbing to his wounds. Arriving, Niwa Nagahide and her fellow Kakushiba ikki member Yasuke came and saw Motoaki's body. When Nagahide thanked them and left the pair to themselves, Naoe asked Yasuke why he left her alone but he just asked for her help, to which she agreed. However, Yasuke admitted that he must tend to a task alone before leaving.[1]
