Revenge was a virtual representation of one of Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.

Description

Naoe and Yasuke traveled to Tsuruga to prevent the deaths of more of Niwa Nagahide's clan members.

Dialogue

Naoe and Yasuke reached the outskirts of Tsuruga.

NaoeYasuke

• Naoe: Tsuruga. Lord Nagahide said I will find his relatives here. Hong mentioned a castle. I should look out for one.

After a short while, she found the castle, with one guard at the entrance.

• Naoe: I am here at Lord Niwa's request to see his family.
• Ashigaru Spearman: We heard you are here to help the Niwa clan. You may enter.

Naoe entered the castle.

• Naoe: Tsuruga Castle. Lord Nagahide's relatives dwell here.

Naoe made her way through the castle and spoke to a guard outside the Niwa residence.

• Naoe: I am sent by Lord Nagahide, here to see the Niwa family.
• Ashigaru Archer: I will tell them to expect you. Proceed.

The guard went in to inform the three gathered Niwa clan members, with Naoe following behind.

• Noble 1: The fish was impeccable, was it not? Freshest one this week!
• Noble 2: Our throats are at risk of being ripped open and you only care about dinner?
• Noble 1: If it is my time to go, I would rather leave with a happy disposition and a full belly.
• Noble 2: Fool.

Naoe approached the nobles.

• Noble 2: A hired killer in the shadows!
• Naoe: I am not here to kill you.
• Noble 2: That is obvious.
• Naoe: You are in grave danger.
• Noble 2: Hm. We heard what happened. But the elder told us not to worry. As you can see, we are having the most leisurely time.
• Naoe: Who would want to kill you?
• Noble 2: I don't know. But they will be caught eventually. We have guards to keep us safe.

Naoe then heard a commotion outside the castle.

• Naoe: Some guests have arrived.

The Niwa clan members scrambled to safety.

• Naoe: That melody again. I hear it.

Naoe left the house to confront the pirates alongside the guards.

• Naoe: Who sent you?
• Ashigaru: Stay out of this.
• Noble 2: The elder said we would be safe.

With the guards' help, Naoe eliminated the first wave from attackers, and another came from the back of the residence.

• Naoe: More ambushers. From the back!
• Ashigaru Archer: They're coming through!
• Ashigaru Spearman: Protect the elder! With our lives!"'
• Naoe: There are more.

Naoe joined the guards to eliminate the last of the attackers.

• Naoe: None left. I should return to the relatives.

Naoe returned to the Niwa clan members, one having left by this time.

• Noble 2: How did... What happened?
• Naoe: You are welcome.

Once again, they heard a tune being played.

• Noble 2: Music? Who is playing that tune?

The elder noblewoman whispered to the younger one.

• Noble 2: Saifukuji Temple. The elder asks you to go there.
• Naoe: What do you mean? The temple? Why?
• Noble 2: Find the source of the music. The elder is tired. She has nothing else to say. Thank you for your help. May the temple hold the answers you seek.

• Yasuke: Tsuruga. This is where I will find Lord Nagahide's relatives. Hong said they lived in a castle. So many castles in this land.

After a short while, he found the castle, with one guard at the entrance.

• Yasuke: I am here at the request of Lord Niwa. To seek audience with his family.
• Ashigaru Spearman: We received word from Lord Nagahide that you are here to help. Please enter, sir.

Yasuke entered the castle.

• Yasuke: Tsuruga Castle. Lord Nagahide's relatives dwell here.

Yasuke made his way through the castle and spoke to a guard outside the Niwa residence.

• Yasuke: I am sent by Lord Nagahide, here to see the Niwa family.
• Ashigaru Archer: I will tell them to expect you. Proceed.

The guard went in to inform the Niwa clan members, with Yasuke following behind.

• Yasuke: Who is behind these murders?
• Noble 2: I don't know. But they will be caught eventually. We have guards to keep us safe.

Yasuke then heard a commotion outside the castle.

• Yasuke: Stay here and out of sight.

The Niwa clan members scrambled to safety.

• Yasuke: That melody again. I hear it.

Yasuke left the house to confront the pirates alongside the guards.

• Yasuke: Who sent you?
• Ashigaru: Stay out of this.
• Noble 2: The elder said we would be safe.

• Yasuke: More of them are coming.

Yasuke joined the guards to eliminate the last of the attackers.

• Yasuke: That is the last of them. I should return to the relatives.

Yasuke returned to the Niwa clan members, one having left by this time.

• Noble 2: They appeared so suddenly!
• Yasuke: You are safe now.

Once again, they heard a tune being played.

• Noble 2: Music? Who is playing that tune?

The elder noblewoman whispered to the younger one.

• Noble 2: Saifukuji Temple. The elder asks you to go there.
• Yasuke: What do you mean? The temple? Why?
• Noble 2: Find the source of the music. The elder is tired. She has nothing else to say. Thank you for your help. May the temple hold the answers you seek.

Outcome

Naoe and Yasuke protected the Niwa clan members from the pirate attackers. The noblewomen told them to visit the Saifukuji Temple, suggesting they may be able to find the source of the tune there.
