Lee Miller, also known as Penny Rose, (1907 – 1977) was an American model, photojournalist, and war correspondent for Vogue, being active in France during World War II.

Behind the scenes

Lee Miller's in-game alias of "Penny Rose" is taken from her later title of Lady Penrose, which she obtained upon her 1947 marriage to Roland Penrose, with whom she had been in a relationship with since 1937. She is the aunt by marriage of Roger Penrose, who in the 1950s alongside his father Lionel popularized the "Penrose triangle" over 15 years after the Swedish artist Oscar Reutersvärd first made it in 1934; the game files of Assassin's Creed: Revelations (2011) refer to the Animus' Black Room as "Penrose Island".
