The Crouching Tiger

The Crouching Tiger was the moniker of a swordsmaster and head of a private security company in Ming era China.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The character's name is a reference to the Chinese author Wang Dulu's 1941–42 serialized novel Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (卧虎藏龙), which was the fourth entry in his 5-volume Crane-Iron series (鶴鐵系列). It was later adapted into the 2000 film of the same name, which is the source of the character's quote.
