Requiem for Rokkaku was a virtual representation of one of Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.[1]
Description
Naoe and Yasuke meets with Shōtei after dealing with Akechi Kagemitsu.
Dialogue
Naoe and Yasuke traveled to the watchtower, overhearing Shōtei speaking to his daughter.
- Shotei: When I issued the Rokkaku-shi shikimoku following the Kannonji Disturbance –
- Katsuhime: Nobody wants to hear about a boring old daimyo law code.
- Shotei: Very well. As it is written in Kagekiyo –
- Katsuhime: Father, life is not a Noh play.
Naoe and Yasuk found Shotei and Katsuhime by the campfire, joining them.
- Yasuke: Looks like you two have reconciled.
- Katsuhime: He's a stubborn fool. And I'll stubbornly follow him. Like a fool.
They sat down.
- Naoe: With Akechi Kagemitsu gone, we're done here. Except... We did find an interesting letter on Mount Hiei.
- Katsuhime: What? That kind of letter?
- Naoe: A contract. The Koga shinobi were killed to kill my league. What do you know about that?
- Shotei: That is what I wanted to talk about. The Koga-ryu fell apart after Nobunaga's invasion...
- Katsuhime: But someone hired the survivors and gave them a new purpose. An evil one.
- Naoe: Not the first time the Kogans have been used against us.
Shotei got up and approached Naoe, and presented her a list of his former students.
- Shotei: A list of my former students. Meet me at Koga when you're done with them.
- Naoe: We will put this to good use.
Shotei then turned to Yasuke, presenting a bow to Yasuke.
- Shotei: Please, take this longbow as well. A Rokkaku family heirloom. One my daughter will not use.
Yasuke accepted the gift.
- Yasuke: Thank you. You are too generous.
Shotei then got up to return to Koga. Katsuhime prepared to leave as well, but stopped to speak to Naoe.
- Katsuhime: I'm interesting in your league, if you know... you ever want to talk about it.
- Naoe: I'll think about it.
Katsuhime then left.
- Naoe: I will stay in Omi for a while.
- Yasuke: Of course. You know how to find me.
Outcome
Shotei presented a list of his former students to Naoe, tasking her to eliminate them. Katsuhime also expressed her interest in joining Naoe's league.
