The Mousquetaire Noir was an Assassin belonging to the Parisian Brotherhood who had been trained by former musketeers. They were active at the time of the French Revolution.

Behind the scene

The quote used is a line spoken by the character Aramis in the novel The Three Musketeers written by Alexandre Dumas; the name used, while also a regiment with the Musketeers, has also been applied to Alexandre himself on account of his African heritage; the image used is from the character Angélique Chevrier who appeared in the companion app for Assassin's Creed: Unity.
