The First War of Scottish Independence was a war that began with the English invasion of 1296, led by King Edward I.^[1] The English army marched towards Berwick, Scotland's most important trading port at the time, and began to sack the town.^[2] During the battle, twins Fillian and Aileas got separated: Fillian found protection with a mysterious group of warriors, while Aileas was saved by an English Captain.^[1]
