Assassination of John F. Kennedy
The assassination of John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, also known as Operation: New Frontier,[1] was an event organized by the Templars, who wanted to remove John F. Kennedy with the intention of taking control of the country. Despite their planning, extremist Assassins under Boris Pash secretly hijacked the assassination for their own purposes.[2]
Kennedy was the President during the 1960s, a time when America was determined to send a man to the Moon, safely landing and then returning to Earth;[3] this was very important for the Templars, as they knew of a Piece of Eden located on the Moon. However, when the Templars learned that Kennedy did not share their motives, they moved to eliminate him in favor of his Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson,[1] secretly a Templar himself.[4]
Pash's Bloodstone Unit, learning of the planned assassination, hijacked the operation by sending one of their members, William Greer,[2] to act undercover as a Templar agent. Greer, a US Secret Service agent, was to be Kennedy's driver during a visit to Dallas, Texas, and was trained by the Templars using an Apple of Eden.[1] The Templar sleeper agent Lee Harvey Oswald was assigned to shoot Kennedy,[5] while Greer's mission was to steal the President's own Apple of Eden in the resulting confusion.[1]
However, while the assassination occurred as planned, Greer attempted to deliver the Apple to Pash and his Assassin extremists instead of the Templars. He was intercepted by his former Bloodstone Unit squadmate, Alekseï Gavrani, who subdued him and took the Apple, believing Pash had become corrupt. Gavrani ended up delivering the Apple to William King Harvey who, unbeknownst to him,[2] was a Templar double agent within the Brotherhood.[6] Thus, the Templars ultimately succeeded in securing the artifact while Kennedy's death paved the way for Johnson to become President.[1]
Background[edit | edit source]
The assassination was a plot created by the Templars to remove John F. Kennedy from power after he planned to "give the vote to everyone", regardless of race or class. They also wanted to obtain the Apple of Eden that several past US Presidents had held,[1] and to place the secret Templar and Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson in power.[4] After talks with Kennedy failed to sway him to their side and convince him against expanding civil rights, the Templars concluded that "Reason just doesn't work with someone like that" and initiated plans to kill the President.[1]
The assassination[edit | edit source]
Simultaneously, the Assassin extremist Boris Pash sought to obtain Kennedy's Apple of Eden for himself and placed his own agent within the conspiracy, the US Secret Service agent William Greer, who would operate as Kennedy's driver and would slow the vehicle down in the event that Kennedy was not killed with one shot.[2] While the Templars tasked Greer to bring the Apple to Abstergo Industries,[1] he would instead take it back to Pash.[2]

As per Abstergo's plan, their sleeper agent Lee Harvey Oswald was to pull the trigger and Abraham Zapruder, who would film the event on camera, was to perform the assassination should Oswald be unable to do so.[1] However, shooters from the Bloodstone Unit hijacked the assassination under Pash's command, and killed Kennedy themselves, coordinating it in such a manner to frame Oswald.[2]
The Templars then used their own Apple of Eden to create a diversion in the shape of a phantom appearing on a nearby hill behind Zapruder, giving Greer an opportunity to steal the President's Apple during the resulting mass confusion.[1]
Aftermath[edit | edit source]

Despite the Assassins' interference, the assassination plot was ultimately performed according to plan. Following Kennedy's death, Johnson was sworn in as President only hours later. Greer was able to secure the Apple,[1] but was ambushed in a nearby alley by fellow Assassin Alekseï Gavrani, who had previously worked under Pash. Gavrani subdued Greer and took the Apple back to the Assassin and CIA director William King Harvey,[2] unaware that he was a Templar.[6] Gavrani was then tasked by Harvey with stopping the rest of Pash's plans.[2]
Kennedy's death allowed the Templars to launch the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, using the project as a front to recover yet another Apple of Eden from the Moon's surface.[4]
