Defensive Position was an altered representation of one of Fujibayashi Naoe's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.[1]
Description[edit | edit source]
Naoe traveled to Osaka to eliminate Wakasa, her intended target during Imai Sōkyū's tea ceremony.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Naoe arrived at Osaka Castle and found the teppo-wielding Wakasa at the part of the castle still under construction. As she climbed up the scaffolding, she overheard Wakasa talking to herself.
- Wakasa: Damn that girl! How did she find me?
Naoe reached the platform Wakasa was on and attacked her.
- Wakasa: This time, I'll finish the job!
I'll send you to your father! - Naoe: Now you'll pay for all you've taken!
After a short while, Naoe killed Wakasa and took a glimpse at her body.
- Naoe: This is how it all began. A bullet from this teppo. You were so proud of your shiny things. This is for killing my father! One less Onryo. The box will be with him. The man on the horse.

Naoe eliminated Wakasa, the first of the targets who killed her father and stole the box
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
This memory is unlocked if players chose either Otama or Satoko as the targets instead of Wakasa in The Tea Ceremony. This is only accessible in the non-canon mode of Assassin's Creed: Shadows.
