Prize of the Medusa was one of four Atlantis artifacts, leftover pieces of technology created by the Isu.
The artifact was a part of the Olympos Project, and was capable of transmutating its users into the projected image of its guardian, in this case the Writhing Dread, a Gorgon, until it was seized by the Spartan misthios Kassandra at some point during the 5th century BCE.[1]
