The Blazing Sword

The Blazing Sword was a tool made by the Isu to channel and distribute energy in the Eden Ring Station of the Rings of Eden initiative. Being used in defense of the facility by Hildr, it soon became known as the Blazing Sword.
In the late 9th century, the facility's generators began to produce energy but had no outlet for it, risking a discharge that would wipe out all life in England. The Viking Eivor Varinsdottir unlocked the station and made her way into the main chamber, where she removed the sword from its pedestal, absorbing the station's power and triggering the shutdown sequence.[1] Eivor subsequently claimed the sword for her own use, wielding it in battle like a regular blade.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Blazing Sword bears a striking resemblance to the Sword of Eden which appeared in Assassin's Creed: Unity, though whether they are meant to the same weapon is currently unknown.
The weapon's name may be a reference to the flaming sword wielded by cherubim who guarded the entry to Eden following Adam and Eve's banishment.
