The Diary of Lady Rokkaku was a virtual representation of one of Fujibayashi Naoe's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.[1]
Description
Naoe travels to Ōmizo to help Katsuhime retrieve her mentor's teppo.
Dialogue
Naoe reached the outskirts of Ōmizo Castle, where she was scheduled to meet Katsuhime.
- Man 1: I have never seen an ashigaru run so fast.
- Man 2: She ran right into the castle. I wonder why.
- Man 1: Probably late for a meal.
Naoe got up to the roof of a house where she was suppose to rendezvous.
- Naoe: Katsuhime's not here yet. Where could she be?
At the small tower, she found a note left for her.
Note From Katsuhime
- Naoe!
For a shinobi, you move slow!
I couldn't wait so I rushed into the castle.
My mentor's gun is good as mine.
Ha!
–Katsuhime
- Naoe: What are you doing, Katsuhime? So reckless.
As she finish reading, she noticed Katsuhime running the platform in the castle as the alarm bell is sounding. She watched as Katsuhime was surrounded by guards and was shot by an unseen sniper when she tried to turn the other way round.
- Katsuhime: (groans)

- Isono Kazumasa: Don't worry, Rokkaku. Your suffering will soon end.
- Katsuhime: (groans)
- Kazumasa: What an honor for you. To be executed by Zenjubo's own weapon.
- Naoe: Katsuhime is in trouble.
Realizing Katsuhime was in danger, Naoe quickly entered the complex and navigated through the roofs of the buildings inside.
- Naoe: Katsuhime! I'm coming!
As Naoe got near, she heard the shooter continuing his taunts.
- Kazumasa: I will blast your heart, Katsuhime.
- Naoe: Time is running out.
- Kazumasa: Your life will end, Rokkaku!
- Naoe: I need to get to Katsuhime now!
Naoe managed to reach Katsuhime's location just in time, and attacked Kazumasa and the guards.
- Kazumasa: You are nothing!
- Naoe: I will cut you down!
- Kazumasa: Hold still!
Naoe subsequently killed Kazumasa and the guards. She then carried the injured Katsuhime out of the castle gates. At that point, Naoe helped Katsuhime by her left shoulder as they walked to a safe spot.
- Katsuhime: I knew I could inspire you to greatness.
- Naoe: My success is entirely due to your teaching, Katsuhime sensei.
She put her down behind a stack of cargo and sat down beside her.
- Katsuhime: Anyway, you saved my life. So... I'm willing to give your ikki a chance.
- Naoe: Are you sure it's what you want? You could retire from the martial life. Help your father rebuild.
- Katsuhime: No, no thanks, I've had my fill of his timeless wisdom. So, do you want me?
The two stood up.
- Naoe: Rokkaku Katsuhime, I formally invite you into the Kakushiba ikki.
- Katsuhime: It is an honor. Now what?
- Naoe: We have a place of our own for our ikki. Live with us.
- Katsuhime: Thank you, I will. About time father was out on his own.
- Naoe: Good. Now remember, it's not as nice as a daimyo's castle, but it will do.
- Katsuhime: (chuckles) Compared to the siege of Ishiyama, it will be the Imperial Palace.
Katsuhime then left for the hideout.
Outcome
After a failed attempt to retrieve Zenjūbō's teppo, Naoe officially recruited Katsuhime into her league, which the Rokkaku marksman accepted.
