The Mousquetaire Noir (English: Black Musketeer) was an Assassin belonging to the Parisian Brotherhood who had been trained by former musketeers. She was active at the time of the French Revolution.[1]
Behind the scene
Everything about the Mousquetaire Noir is an amalgam of different media or trivia points: the above quote is a line spoken by the character Aramis in the French author Alexandre Dumas' 1844 novel The Three Musketeers; the name used, while also a regiment within the Musketeers of the Guard, has also been applied to Alexandre himself on account of his Haitian heritage; and the image reuses art of the character Angélique Chevrier, who appeared in the companion app for the 2014 video game Assassin's Creed: Unity.
