English invasion of Scotland (1296)

The English invasion of Scotland was a military campaign by King Edward I that started the First War of Scottish Independence in 1296.^[1] The Scottish and English armies engaged in combat many times during this campaign, including the Capture of Berwick and the Battle of Dunbar on Wikipedia.^[2]
