Prince of Anhua rebellion
The Prince of Anhua rebellion was an uprising led by Prince of Anhua Zhu Zhifan against the reign of the Zhengde Emperor in May 1510. Due to Liu Jin's expulsion of Master Assassin Wang Yangming from the Ming court, the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins organized the rebellion,[1] using as pretext the resentment caused by the new taxes ordered by Liu Jin.[2] The Templars assisted Liu Jin in countering the uprising,[1] which lasted only 18 days.[2] In spite of this, Templar Zhang Yong, the second in command of the Eight Tigers, betrayed Liu Jin and supported the accusations of corruption before the Emperor,[1] leading to his execution.[3]
