Biography

The enclosed content is of ambiguous canonicity.

In 1543, the Chinese Brotherhood sent a group of Assassins including The Sunlight Sword led by Shao Jun to the Goto Islands, Japan to intercept the priest João Machado, a Templar and the Portuguese Jesuit Gaspar Vilela's right-hand man, as he returned to China aboard one of Wang Zhi's pirate ships. Ostensibly tasked with taking possession the ship's cargo of arquebuses, there was also an Apple of Eden present. As the Assassins boarded the ship The Sunlight Sword took enemy fire damaging his samurai armor. Throwing caution to the wind, he charged the pirates and Portuguese arquebusiers allowing for Shao Jun to incapacitate Machado and recover the Apple. However a dying gunman managed to light a store of gunpowder forcing the survivors to disengage. [1]

Having survived the previous engagement The Sunlight Sword once again under the command of Shao Jun crossed paths with João Machado for a second time in 1552 as the Templar now a commander within the Military Order of Aviz ferried a Precursor Box looted from fellow Templar Francis Xavier to his master, Gaspar Vilela, in Nagasaki, Japan.[2]
