Spirit of a Warrior was a virtual representation of one of Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.[1]
Description
Yasuke joined Oda Nobunaga in his campaign to conquer Iga.
Dialogue
As the battle broke out between Nobunaga's forces and the Iga ikki, Yasuke watched as his fellow soldiers slaughtered the village residents and burned down the houses. After some hesitation, he set out to fight as well, clashing against several Iga shinobi. After killing them, he proceeded to the next area and eliminated the next group as well. Soon after, he was confronted by a shinobi leader who attacked with a kusarigama. After defeating him, he continued onwards, facing yet another shinobi leader.
- Yasuke: These villagers do not give up easily.
After killing the last shinobi, Yasuke headed towards the foothills, where his lord Nobunaga was waiting. After getting onto his horse, he joined his lord to observe the surroundings.
- Oda Nobunaga: Can you feel the breeze, Yasuke? It fans the total destruction of Iga. A most perfect night. Ready to finish them off?
After some hesitation, Yasuke replied.
- Yasuke: At your command, my lord.
- Oda Nobunaga: What is it?
- Yasuke: I've never fought a battle like this. So many lives.
- Oda Nobunaga: (laughs) Ever the righteous man.
Nobunaga turned his horse around, with Yasuke following suit.
- Oda Nobunaga: While Iga calls its unifier a tyrant, forty-thousand of our countrymen ride with me.
They arrived near a town, where more of Nobunaga's men stand ready.
- Oda Nobunaga: is that tyranny, Yasuke?
- Yasuke: No. No, it is conviction. They trust in their future with you.
- Oda Nobunaga: Yes. And that belief makes you my samurai.
- Yasuke: Iga's rebellion stands in the way of harmony. I ride with you.
- Oda Nobunaga: Go. Find Momochi Sandayu. His death will sever the sword from the hand of Iga.
Yasuke got down from his horse and prepared to head into battle.
Outcome
Yasuke was ordered by Nobunaga to locate and elimninate the shinobi's leader, Momochi Sandayu.
