The Pirate Alliance was a virtual representation of one of Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.[1]
Description
Yasuke and Naoe learn of a pirate group active around Wakasa Bay.
Dialogue
While in Tsuruga Sea Port, Naoe and Yasuke came across a notice board with inscriptions on it.
Urgent – Help Wakasa!
Naoe and Yasuke travel to the waters west of Obama's port, where they found a fleet of pirate vessels in the area. Swimming near the fleet, they overheard the pirate leader Kage talking to himself.
- Kage: I am the best. That is why big brother Samemaru chose me, Kage the Loyal, to search for the treasure. And if I have failed, what, eight times? I'm still going to get the treasure for big brother, right? Yes. I am Kage the Loyal, Kage the Best, Kage the Successful! I will get what big brother Samemaru wants!
Naoe and Yasuke got up the boat and attacked Kage.
- Kage: Oi! Do not interfere with my mission, annoying rat! For big brother Samemaru, I will not fail.
Naoe and Yasuke managed to heavily injure Kage.
- Kage: Big brother Samemaru, I'm sorry. I am failing! I do not want to fail!
The two killed Kage and looted a sword and a note from his body. The note contains scribbles from Samemaru to Kage, and mentions relations to fellow pirate leader Lopo Cruz at Nariu's Lair and a mention of a treasure. With the lead, Naoe and Yasuke travelled to Nariu's Lair located at the tip of Shattered Coast. After passing through a cave arch, Naoe and Yasuke eavesdropped on two pirates on a cliff overlooking a pirate lair.
- Pirate Thug 1: Lopo is at a "council meeting" again, isn't he? Him on his ship, with his "friends."
- Pirate Archer 1: Don't talk about our leader with that tone. Remember what he did to the person who threw his rock overboard?
- Pirate Thug 1: Yes. I never dared to touch anything after that.'
The two entered the compound and eavesdropped on another pair of pirates overlooking the waters near a dock.
- Pirate Archer 2: What a beautiful place. This could be paradise.
- Pirate Brute 1: Yeah. If not for us.
The two went across the waters to another lair and eavesdropped on two more pirates on the docks.
- Pirate Thug 2: I still think about that ambush. Only Lopo could have come up with that idea. The enemy had no clue what was coming.
- Pirate Brute 2: Lopo may be mad, but he is a good mad for us.
Naoe and Yasuke went up the stairs and eavesdropped on a final pair of pirates.
- Pirate Thug 3: Is Lopo having his daily "council" meeting again?
- Pirate Brute 2: Yes, on the ship ahead. It's important that we don't disturb him.
Naoe and Yasuke followed the conversations and heard a voice coming from a nearby ship.
- Naoe: Someone is on that ship. Who is he talking to?
They got closer and found their target, Lopo Cruz, seemingly hallucinating and mumbling to himself.
- Lopo Cruz: What do you think, Ishi? And you, Roku? I know. Samemaru's men have shit for brains, but they have the brawn. We must obtain the treasure. I agree Little Kappa is too crazy. He doesn't care about riches, only blowing things up. (sighs) All right. Meeting ajourned! I am glad we had this council, friends. Trusted comrades are hard to find!
The two attacked the pirate leader.
- Lopo Cruz: Ah! An enemy has appeared! Kill!
The Kakushiba ikki members landed serious injuries on Lopo.
- Lopo Cruz: My friends... go on without me!
After a while, they killed the pirate leader and looted a kusarigama for Naoe and a note from his body. In the note, it details conversations with Little Kappa, another pirate leader, as well as mentions of a blocked cave and explosives.
- Naoe: This man knows someone who goes by Little Kappa. (snorts) Interesting name. He lurks at a nearby lair.
- Yasuke: Hmm, this man's ally is called Little Kappa. Curious name. The letter mentions a lair nearby.
Following clues from the note, Naoe and Yasuke traveled to Maizuru's Lair in the south of Shattered Coast. At the docks, they eavesdropped on a pair of pirates.
- Pirate Thug 4: It goes on and on, the same thing every time. Round up the converts, punish the priest, explode everyone. Serves them right, but I am getting bored. When are we looking for the treasure?
- Pirate Archer 2: What? I can't hear you. Blasted explosions, my ears are ringing!
Further up in the lair, they found Little Kappa torturing a captured Jesuit priest.
- Little Kappa: (laughs) You see what you did? Because of you, they explode! The next one will be even better, bigger, louder! (laughs) Prepare the explosives, the boom! Hurry. So many more to destroy!
- Naoe: Explosives. I should be careful.
- Yasuke: Explosives. I should treat carefully.
As they entered the lair and got near the explosives, they though of an idea.
- Naoe: Maybe I can use these explosives.
- Yasuke: I wonder if these explosives could help me.
As they waited, the pirate leader grew impatient with his men.
- Little Kappa: [growls] What are you idiots doing? Hurry up!
Naoe and Yasuke attacked the pirate leader.
- Little Kappa: How dare you mess with Little Kappa! You will be erased with fire!
The two made used of the surrounding explosives and used it to kill Little Kappa and his men. From his body, they looted a kanabo for Yasuke.
- Jesuit priest: Bless you, oh bless you! I am saved!
Naoe and Yasuke spoke to the priest.
- Jesuit priest: Blessed thanks to you, kind soul. You saved me from great pain.
- Naoe: Tell me what happened.
- Jesuit priest: The last I remember I was preaching in a small village, not far from here. There were two men talking in loud voices. One of them was that terrible brute. The next thing I knew, I was knocked out.
- Naoe: What did the other man look like?
- Jesuit priest: I... did not see him, but the villagers called him Sen.
- Naoe: Thank you.
- Jesuit priest: Blessed thanks to you, kind soul. You saved me from great pain.
- Yasuke: What happened to you?
- Jesuit priest: The last I remember I was preaching in a small village, not far from here. There were two men talking in loud voices. One of them was that terrible brute. The next thing I knew, I was knocked out.

- Naoe: The priest said Sen would be here. This place seems peaceful. Hard to believe there's a pirate here.
- Yasuke: The priest mentioned the pirate Sen. He should be here. And this place seems so peaceful.
They first listened in on two women standing near a fish rack.
- Woman 1: Remember that priest who visited? I saw some pirates drag him away.
- Woman 2: I saw that too! Sen tried to stop them, but the biggest one threatened to burn down our village.
They then eavesdropped on a couple near the dock.
- Woman 3: Say, don't you think there is something below the water, near that boat? Is that a fish?
- Man: Hmm. I saw Sen throw something in the water. Could that be it?
Following their lead, Naoe and Yasuke dived down to the boat area and found a chest in the water. Inside, they recovered a kusarigama for Naoe.
- Naoe: Who threw those weapons into the sea?
They returned to land and overheard a pair of young girls.
- Child 1: I'm so hungry! Let's go ask Sen for more rice!
- Child 2: What? But you just ate! Greedy!
- Child 1: Hey, who are you? You're not here to steal our food from Sen, are you? Go away!
Near the children, they found a man whose profile fits those of a pirate.
- Pirate archer: Another day comes and goes.
The two confronted him.
Despite what the villagers had to say about Sen, Naoe and Yasuke attacked the former pirate regardless, causing him to defend himself with a sickle.
- Sen: The choice to kill is not easy.

- Naoe/Yasuke: You. Are you Sen the pirate?
- Sen: I answered to that name once. But now I seek only to protect and to live peacefully.
- Naoe: Hard to believe a pirate would change their ways.
- Sen: My wife begged me to stop, but greed took control. Her life was lost because of my foolishness, and I regret it every day. Now, I spend my days feeding the village. Tell me, can someone like me be forgiven?
- Yasuke: How does a pirate have a sudden change of heart?
